Democratic Progressive Party Of Hong Kong
The Democratic Progressive Party ( zh, t=民主進步黨) was a small localism in Hong Kong, localist political party in Hong Kong established by Yeung Ke-cheong ( zh, t=楊繼昌, labels=no) in 2015. It considered Chinese rule in Hong Kong foreign and promoted the right of Hong Kongers to self-determination. The party advocated non-violent struggle against what it saw as Chinese colonial rule, in sharp contrast to the more strident localists of Civic Passion and Hong Kong Indigenous. Yeung, the party's chairman, also hosted an online programme critical of other localists, especially Yeung's former mentor Wong Yuk-man, for their militant and populist tendencies. Pro-democracy Camp (Hong Kong)
The pro-democracy camp, also known as the pan-democracy camp, is a political alignment in Hong Kong that supports increased democracy, namely the universal suffrage of the Chief Executive and the Legislative Council as given by the Basic Law under the "One Country, Two Systems" framework. The pro-democrats generally embrace liberal values such as rule of law, human rights, civil liberties and social justice, though their economic positions vary. They are often referred to as the "opposition camp" as they have consistently been the minority camp within the Legislative Council, and because of their non-cooperative and sometimes confrontational stance towards the Hong Kong and Chinese central governments. Civic Passion
Civic Passion was a radical, populist, localist, and nativist political party in Hong Kong. Founded by Wong Yeung-tat as an activist group in 2012, it held strong localist views and opposed the involvement of the Chinese government in the governance of Hong Kong. In the 2016 Legislative Council election, the Civic Passion formed an electoral alliance with Wong Yuk-man's Proletariat Political Institute and Chin Wan's Hong Kong Resurgence Order. Cheng Chung-tai became the only candidate of the alliance elected to the legislature and subsequently took over as the leader of the Civic Passion. Generally, localism supports local production and consumption of goods, local control of government, and promotion of local history, local culture and local identity. The League of Social Democrats (LSD) is a social democratic party in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Localism Power () is a pro-Beijing conservative political organisation founded in 2015. It is currently headed by Jonathan Ho Chi-kwong.
