Adelaide Deming
Adelaide Deming (December 12, 1864 – 1956) was an American painter, associated for much of her life with Litchfield, Connecticut. She was the 1908 winner of the Beal Prize for her watercolor ''Moon Shadows''. Biography Born on December 12, 1864 in Litchfield, Connecticut, Deming was descended from a family with deep roots in the community. She received much of her training in New York City, studying at the Art Students League of New York; her teachers included William Merritt Chase, William Lathrop, Henry B. Snow, and Arthur Wesley Dow. She taught at the Pratt Institute for eight years. Deming resigned in 1910 along with other instructors when her department head, Edith Greer, was not reinstated. She was a member of the National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors and the American Watercolor Society. She was president of the local suffrage group, the Litchfield Equal Franchise League. Barbara Deming
Barbara Deming (July 23, 1917 – August 2, 1984) was an American feminist and advocate of nonviolent social change. Personal life Barbara Deming was born in New York City. She attended a ''Friends'' ( Quaker) school up through her high school years. Deming directed plays, taught dramatic literature and wrote and published fiction and non-fiction works. On a trip to India, she began reading Gandhi, and became committed to a non-violent struggle, with her main cause being Women's Rights. She later became a journalist, and was active in many demonstrations and marches over issues of peace and civil rights. She was a member of a group that went to Hanoi during the Vietnam War, and was jailed many times for non-violent protest.Andrejkoymasky.com
Deming died on August 2, 1984.

David Deming (geologist)
David Deming (born 1954), an American geologist and geophysicist, is an associate professor of Arts and Sciences at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. He graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1972. He then attended Indiana University Bloomington, graduating in 1983 with a BS degree in geology, and received a Ph.D in geophysics from the University of Utah in 1988. Prior to his arrival at the University of Oklahoma in 1992, Deming held a National Research Council postdoctoral fellowship at the U.S. Geological Survey in California. From 1992 through 2003, Deming was an assistant and associate professor in the School of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Oklahoma. Calvin Deming
Calvin Deming (June 28, 1896 – September 17, 1963) was an American politician and businessman. Deming was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and went to the Minneapolis public schools. He served in the United States Army during World War I. Deming went to Carleton College. He lived in Minneapolis with his wife and family and was in the real estate business. Deming served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1927 to 1930. His father Portius C. Deming also served in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Martin Chester Deming (February 15, 1789 – June 21, 1851) was an American businessman, railroad magnate, and politician who served in the Vermont House of Representatives from 1830 until 1832, representing the town of Arlington, Vermont, Arlington in Bennington County, Vermont, Bennington County.
