Childbirth
Childbirth, also known as labour and delivery, is the ending of pregnancy where one or more babies exits the internal environment of the mother via vaginal delivery or caesarean section. In 2019, there were about 140.11 million births globally. In the developed countries, most deliveries occur in hospitals, while in the developing countries most are home births. The most common childbirth method worldwide is vaginal delivery. It involves four stages of labour: the shortening and opening of the cervix during the first stage, descent and birth of the baby during the second, the delivery of the placenta during the third, and the recovery of the mother and infant during the fourth stage, which is referred to as the postpartum. The Delivery (The Office)
"The Delivery" is a two-part episode of the sixth season of the American comedy series ''The Office''. In this episode, Pam starts having contractions but insists on waiting till midnight to go to the hospital in order to get an extra night at the hospital, irritating Jim. A joke is a display of humour in which words are used within a specific and well-defined narrative structure to make people laugh and is usually not meant to be interpreted literally. Delivery (cricket)
A delivery or ball in cricket is a single action of bowling a cricket ball toward the batsman. Once the ball has been delivered, batsmen may attempt to score runs, with the bowler and other fielders attempting to stop this by getting the batsmen out. When the ball becomes dead, the next delivery can begin. During play of the game, a member of the fielding team is designated as the bowler, and bowls deliveries toward the batsman. Six legal balls in a row constitutes an over, after which a different member of the fielding side takes over the role of bowler for the next over. Delivery is an Australian garage-punk band formed in 2020. They released their debut album in November 2022. History Delivery were formed in 2020 by couple Rebecca Allan and James Lynch and included members from several Melbourne bands, including The Vacant Smiles, Gutter Girls and Blonde Revolver. They played their first live show in March 2021. In June 2021, the group released their debut EP ''Yes We Do''. Between January to April 2022, the group recorded songs for their debut album. In September 2022, the band released the lead single, "Baader Meinhof". Delivery (band)
Delivery was a British blues/progressive rock musical group, formed in the late 1960s. The band was one of the wellsprings of the progressive rock Canterbury scene. Career Founded in 1966 as Bruno's Blues Band by guitarist Phil Miller, his elder brother, pianist Steve Miller, drummer Pip Pyle and bassist Jack Monck, the band gigged around London for a few years. In 1968, saxophonist Lol Coxhill joined them, and the band's name was changed to Steve Miller's Delivery. In 1969, the band teamed up with blues singer Carol Grimes and bassist Roy Babbington replaced Monck. The resulting line-up recorded and released one album: '' Fools Meeting''. Although Grimes wanted to appear as a band member, the record company released the album under "Carol Grimes and Delivery". In 1971, Pyle left the band to join Gong and was replaced by Laurie Allan (who would himself also later join Gong). They disbanded shortly thereafter. "Delivery" is a song by the English band Babyshambles. It is the second track on the band's second album called '' Shotter's Nation''. The song first appeared in demo form (being given away for free on the internet). On 19 August NME announced it would be giving away a free copy of the demo on 7" vinyl on the week of 12 September. It has been released as a single on 17 September 2007 on EMI. Pete Doherty designed the artwork for the single. ''The Mamas & The Papas Deliver'' is the third album by the Mamas and the Papas, released in 1967. Title The album's title was an in-joke among the group, as recording commenced shortly after Cass Elliot announced that she was pregnant with her daughter, Owen. Given the social stigma of unwed mothers at the time, both the pregnancy and the birth had been kept a closely guarded secret from the public and press, and the LP's name was meant to imply that Elliot and the others had "delivered" a newborn creation. Release The album debuted on ''Billboards Top LPs chart on March 18, 1967 and reached its peak position of #2 just three weeks later. It spent a total of 55 weeks on the Top LPs chart.
