Delilah Blue
''Delilah Blue'' is the second full-length studio album from pianist/singer-songwriter Joshua Kadison. Released on November 1, 1995, it featured a change of tack. Whereas the previous album had featured shorter songs, this disc presents a jazzier version of Kadison's music, with much longer tracks (with the title track clocking in at almost ten minutes). He again wrote all the songs himself (with the exception of the first track, which is public domain), but this time featured in the production credits as well. The single "Take it on Faith" did not perform very well, and EMI, which owned his contract with Capitol, voided his contract shortly thereafter. Joshua Kadison (born February 8, 1963) is an American singer-songwriter, pianist, and writer, who was born in Los Angeles, California. He is perhaps best known for the top 40 hits " Jessie" and " Beautiful in My Eyes" from his debut album '' Painted Desert Serenade''. He is the son of actress Gloria Castillo, who was the inspiration behind his song "Mama's Arms". His musical style and voice are compared to Elton John. Robert C. Ludwig (born c. 1945) is an American mastering engineer. He has mastered recordings on all the major recording formats for all the major record labels, and on projects by more than 1,300 artists including Led Zeppelin, Lou Reed, Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Bryan Ferry, Paul McCartney, Nirvana, Bruce Springsteen and Daft Punk resulting in over 3,000 credits. He won twenty Grammy Awards for his work with Henry Mancini, Steely Dan, George Benson, Toto, Natalie Cole, Quincy Jones, and others. The Sweet Inspirations were an American R&B girl group mostly known for their work as backup singers on studio recordings for other R&B and rock artists.
