Delightfully Pleased
''Delightfully Pleased'' is the sixth studio album by the pop punk band Punchline which was released on August 10, 2010. It is the follow-up to '' Just Say Yes'', released in 2008. The album's title comes from the lyrics of the song "Into The Mouth". The name of the record was thought of during a dream. The band also released it as a free download. After an incident following a Brokencyde concert in which members of Brokencyde allegedly attacked Punchline's drummer, Cory Muro, and his friend, leaving him requiring three staples in his head and his friend with a broken nose, a website was launched through which visitors could donate money for ''Delightfully Pleased'', any money raised going towards Muro's medical bills incurred as a result of the incident. Punchline is an American rock band from Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, United States, that was formed in 1998. The band released its seventh full-length album, '' Thrilled'', on December 4, 2015, on InVogue Records. History 1998-2002: early years Punchline was formed in 1997 as a three-piece band consisting of Steve Soboslai (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Fafalios (bass guitar) PJ Caruso (drums). At the time, Fafalios was a senior in high school and Caruso and Soboslai were juniors. They played local shows and recorded their first album, '' How to Get Kicked Out of the Mall'', a blend of pop- and ska-influenced punk. In later recordings, the ska influence became less prominent. In 1999, the band self-produced and self-released the full-length ''Punchline'' album. After being joined by Paul Menotiades (guitar, vocals), they recorded and co-produced '' Major Motion Picture'' with Billy Rossi for an August 2001 release. Modern Short Stories is a Pittsburgh-based "media label" founded by Steve Soboslai and Chris Fafalios of the Pittsburgh pop punk band Punchline and friend Amanda Yu. Its slogan is "Every song is a modern short story." History Creation Modern Short Stories was created during summer 2008 in the fall-out of Punchline's departure from Fueled by Ramen Records. Between 2003 and early 2008, Fueled by Ramen released two full-length Punchline albums (2004's Action and 2006's 37 Everywhere), as well as a re-release of 2002's The Rewind EP. During this time, a number of their then-labelmates (Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, The Academy Is..., The Hush Sound, etc.) were becoming hugely popular, and Punchline became less prominent in the Fueled by Ramen lineup. ''Muzik'' was a British dance music magazine published by IPC Media from June 1995 to August 2003. ''Muzik'' was created by two former ''Melody Maker'' journalists, Push and Ben Turner. Push was the editor of ''Muzik'' from its launch until he left the magazine in 1998, at which point Turner took over as editor. The title was subsequently edited by Conor McNicholas, who went on to edit ''NME''. Aimed at serious dance music fans rather than weekend clubbers, ''Muzik''s writers included a number of well-known DJs, including Kris Needs, Rob da Bank, Spoony, Terry Farley, Bob Jones, Jonty Skrufff and Dave Mothersole. Brokencyde
Brokencyde (stylized as brokeNCYDE) is an American hip hop group from Albuquerque, New Mexico, founded in 2006. The group's lineup consists of David "Se7en" Gallegos and Michael "Mikl" Shea, and musically are one of the founding groups in the crunkcore genre, which (in general description) is crunk hip hop music with screamed vocals.
