Delhi Mapillai
''Delhi Mapillai'' () is a Tamil language comedy film released on 13 September 1968. It stars Ravichandran and Cho Ramaswamy in the main lead roles, opposite Rajasree and Sachu respectively. The supporting cast includes T. P. Muthulakshmi, V. K. Ramasamy, Manorama and Suruli Rajan. It is noted for being one of the cult comedy films which continues to be repeatedly watched by generations. The story revolves around the two sons teaching a lesson to their father who disregards the poor. It was a successful film on it release. The music was composed by K. V. Mahadevan. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932. It is published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Group. In 1999, eight years after the group's founder Ramnath Goenka's death in 1991, the group was split between the family members. Ravichandran (Tamil Actor)
Ravichandran (30 March 1942 – 25 July 2011) was a Malaysian Indian actor who played lead hero roles in Tamil films from 1964 to 1979. He has also acted in supporting roles from 1986, and directed a few films. He was given the title of "Kalaingnar Thilagham" in many of the on-screen credits of films starring him in the lead role. He was also called "Puratchi Kalaignar" (Refer: Anandha Bairavi Tamil Movie Title Scene). Srinivasa Iyer Ramaswamy, better known as Cho Ramaswamy (5 October 1934 – 7 December 2016), was an Indian actor, comedian, character actor, editor, political satirist, playwright, film director and lawyer from Tamil Nadu. He was a popular comedian in the 1960s and 70s, and had acted with all the top stars in that period. Early life Srinivasa Iyer Ramaswamy was fondly addressed and remembered as Cho. Rajasree (Rajasree Thota Panchajanyam, Kusuma Kumari, born 31 August 1945), also known as Rajasri or Rajashri, is an Indian actress active from 1956 to 1979. She is particularly famous for her portrayal as a princess in several folklore Telugu movies opposite N. T. Saraswathi Sundaresan Iyer, professionally known as Kumari Sachu (born 7 January 1948) is an Indian actress who has acted in more than 500 films in five different languages and a few television serials. Gopishantha (26 May 1937 – 10 October 2015), better known by her stage name Manorama, also called Aachi, was an Indian actress, playback singer and comedian who had appeared in more than 1000 films and 5000 stage performances and several television series predomninantely in the Tamil language until 2015. Suruli Rajan
Suruli Rajan was a Tamil film comedian/character artiste. He was a recipient of Tamil Nadu State Government's Best Comedian Award for the year 1981–82. Biography Suruli Rajan was born in 1938 in Periyakulam, near Theni. His father ''Ponnaiya Pillai'' worked as an accountant for farm owners of the adjoining areas in Theni. The child was named after the Surulivelar Swamy, the family deity at the temple atop a hill graced by the picturesque Suruli Falls. Suruli Rajan lost his parents one after the other, and had to discontinue his schooling. He moved to his brother's house in Madurai and worked as an apprentice mechanic in a neighbourhood workshop.
