Karlovac () is a city in central Croatia. According to the 2011 census, its population was 55,705. Karlovac is the administrative centre of Karlovac County. The city is located on the Zagreb- Rijeka highway and railway line, south-west of Zagreb and from Rijeka. Name The city was named after its founder, Charles II, Archduke of Austria. ''Bloodsuckers'' () is a 1989 Croatian vampire comedy horror film directed by Dejan Šorak. The film was archived by the Croatian State Archives. ''Bloodsuckers'' was poorly received by critics and at the box office at the time of its release, but has garnered a following. It is also remembered for the film debut of Ksenija Marinković.
