Dejan Parežanin
Dejan Parežanin ( sr-cyr, Дејан Парежанин; born 27 May 1971) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player who is the current head coach for Astana of the VTB United League and the Kazakhstan Championship. Playing career A point guard, Parežanin spent 17 seasons in Yugoslavia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 1988 to 2005. During his playing days, he played for Partizan, Infos RTM Beograd, OKK Beograd, OKK Kikinda, Radnički Beograd, Igokea and Bosna. He retired as a player with Bosna in 2005. Coaching career After retirement in 2005, Parežanin joined Vogošća as their head coach. During the 2007–08 season, he was an assistant coach for Bosna under Jure Zdovc. Later, Parežanin was again the head coach for Vogošća prior he signed for Bosna in January 2010. He left Bosnia in April 2011. The Kazakhstan Basketball Championship (russian: Чемпионата Казахстана по баскетболу) is the highest professional basketball league in Kazakhstan, it is organised by the National Basketball Federation Kazakhstan. EuroBasket, also commonly referred to as the European Basketball Championship, is the main international basketball competition that is contested quadrennially, by the senior men's national teams that are governed by FIBA Europe, which is the European zone within the International Basketball Federation. The competition was first held in 1935. The former Soviet Union holds the record for most gold medals with a total of 14. 2022 FIBA Asia Cup Qualification
The 2022 FIBA Asia Cup qualification was a basketball competition that was played from February 2018 to August 2021, to determine the fifteen FIBA Asia-Oceania nations who would join the automatically qualified host Indonesia at the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup. The Kazakhstan national basketball team represents Kazakhstan in basketball international competitions. They belong to the FIBA Asia zone. Jure Zdovc
Jurij "Jure" Zdovc (born 13 December 1966) is a Slovenian former professional basketball player and coach Zdovc Returning to Helm of National Team.] As a player, he was a 1.98 m (6'6") tall point guard, who began his professional playing career with the Yugoslav Second Division club Smelt Olimpija. During his playing career, he was a two-time member of the FIBA European Selection, in the years 1990 and 1991, and a FIBA EuroStar selection, in 1996. He also represented both the senior Yugoslav national team, and the senior Slovenian national team. He was inducted into the Slovenian Athletes Hall of Fame in 2015. The Yugoslav Basketball Cup ( sh, Kup Jugoslavije u košarci / ) was the men's national basketball cup of Yugoslavia between its inauguration 1959 and 2002. It was held in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia between 1959 and 1991 and in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia between 1992 and 2002. Mirza Delibašić Cup ( bs, Kup Mirza Delibašić), formerly Basketball Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( bs, Kup Bosne i Herzegovine u košarci), is the men's national basketball cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Basketball Championship Of Bosnia And Herzegovina
The Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the top–tier men's professional basketball league in Bosnia and Herzegovina for men and women, respectively. The league is operated by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Competition format The league is composed of 12 teams, each playing against the other eleven two times, home and away. After this portion concludes, the top six clubs are joined by the country's representatives in the Adriatic League, and enter "League 6". The best of these four teams go to the playoffs, and in the final best-of-five series, the Bosnian champion is crowned. The eight teams who do not make the playoffs go on to compete in the "relegation league," where a team's object becomes maintaining its standing and ability to play in the competition the following year.
