Dehleez (film)
''Dehleez'' is a 1983 Pakistani Urdu-language drama film based on Emily Brontë's 1847 novel '' Wuthering Heights'', with screenplay by Syed Noor. It started Nadeem and Shabnam with Afzaal Ahmad and Agha Talish. The music of the film was composed by Kamal Ahmed. The film celebrated its Diamond Jubilee on the box office and won seven Nigar Awards, including best film, best director and best actor. ''Dehleez'' inspired the 1985 Hindi film '' Oonche Log''. It was screened at the Lok Virsa Museum in 2018. Syed Noor
Syed Noor (Punjabi language, Punjabi, ur, ) (born Syed Ghulam Mohyuddin Noor) is a Pakistani film director based in Lahore. In 1970 Syed Noor joined the Pakistani film industry as an assistant to director S. Suleman. Noor assisted S. Suleman for 18 feature films, after which, he penned his first script for the film, "Society Girl" in 1976, which was considered the best film of the year. After the success of his first film, Noor became the prime screenwriting talent in the Pakistani film industry and worked with all the prominent directors of the time. Syed Noor wrote about 250 films from 1976 to 1992. His written scripts and screenplays were both in Urdu and in Punjabi. Shahid (actor)
Shahid Hameed ( Punjabi, ur, ), known simply as Shahid, is a Pakistani film actor who starred in many films of the 1970s and 1980s. His first film was Aansoo, released in 1971. He worked in more than 150 films. Shahid quit working in films as a result of sub-standard film production in Pakistan film industry after he worked ZOR which was released in 1998. Salma Agha
Salma Agha ( ur, ; born 25 October 1956) is a British singer and actress who worked in Pakistani and Indian films in the 1980s and the early 1990s. She was born in Karachi and raised in London, where she received several film offers from Indian directors.
