Degelia Plumbea
''Degelia plumbea'' (also called blue felt lichen) is a species of grey to blue-black or brown foliose lichen in the genus ''Degelia''. It mostly grows on trees in undisturbed woodlands but occasionally on coastal rocks. It is found widely in Britain and western Ireland as well as in America and Canada, as it grows in maritime Atlantic climates. ''D. plumbea'' is highly sensitive to acid rain and climatic changes. Peltigerales Genera
Peltigerales is an order (biology), order of lichen-forming fungus, fungi belonging to the class (taxonomy), class Lecanoromycetes in the division (mycology), division Ascomycota. The taxonomy of the group has seen numerous changes; it was formerly often treated as a suborder of the order Lecanorales. It contains two suborders, eight family (biology), families and about 45 genus, genera such as ''Lobaria'' and ''Peltigera''. The fungi form lichens in a symbiosis, symbiotic relationship with one or two photosynthesis, photosynthetic partners which may be a cyanobacterium such as ''Nostoc'' or a green alga such as ''Coccomyxa''. The majority of species contain just a cyanobacterium, a smaller number have both a cyanobacterium and a green alga while only a few species have just a green alga. The thallus of the lichen may be foliose (leafy), subfruticose (somewhat shrubby) or granular-squamulose (scaly). The thallus attaches to a surface by means of small root-like rhizines. In some s ...

Degelia Neozelandica
''Degelia neozelandica'' is a species of foliose lichen in the genus ''Degelia''. The species was initially described under ''Steinera'', but was removed in 1982 when the genus was revised by Aino Henssen and Peter Wilfred James. It was then placed into ''Parmeliella'', and later into ''Degelia''. Distribution and habitat ''Degelia neozelandica'' is most widely found in New Zealand, on both Macquarie and South Islands, but has also been found in a single alpine locality in Tasmania, Australia. It grows on fine sandy soil in subalpine and alpine grasslands Alpine may refer to any mountainous region. FloraBase
''FloraBase'' is a public access web-based database of the flora of Western Australia. It provides authoritative scientific information on 12,978 taxa, including descriptions, maps, images, conservation status and nomenclatural details. 1,272 alien taxa (naturalised weeds) are also recorded. The system takes data from datasets including the Census of Western Australian Plants and the Western Australian Herbarium specimen database of more than 803,000 vouchered plant collections. It is operated by the Western Australian Herbarium within the Department of Parks and Wildlife. It was established in November 1998. In its distribution guide it uses a combination of IBRA version 5.1 and John Stanley Beard's botanical provinces.
