The first season of the American science fiction television series ''Defiance'' premiered on Syfy on Monday April 15, 2013 and ended on July 8, 2013 with a total of 12 episodes. The show stars Grant Bowler, Julie Benz, Stephanie Leonidas, Tony Curran, Jaime Murray, Graham Greene and Mia Kirschner. The series is produced by Universal Cable Productions, in transmedia collaboration with Trion Worlds, who have released an MMORPG video game of the same name which is tied into the series. Trenna Keating (born January 23, 1987) is a Canadian actress known for her recurring role as Doc Yewll in '' Defiance'' between 2013 and 2015. Early life Trenna Keating was born and grew up in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. She likes spending her time hiking and camping outdoors, loves cooking, playing games and dancing. Keating is also a passioned writer of plays. Keating did her BFA degree in acting at the University of Regina. Career When she moved to Toronto, Keating studied clown for a while, and began working as a reader for auditions as her introduction to the Toronto film industry. "Down in the Ground Where the Dead Men Go" is the second episode of the Defiance (season 1), first season of the United States, American science fiction series ''Defiance (TV series), Defiance'', and the series' second episode overall. It was aired on April 22, 2013. The episode was written by Kevin Murphy (screenwriter), Kevin Murphy & Anupam Nigam. It was directed by Michael Nankin. Plot Elah Bandik (Robert Clarke), the Castithan who fled the battle in the pilot episode, is accused of cowardice by Datak Tarr (Tony Curran) and must undergo a "cleansing" ceremony which is actually ritual torture and execution. Michael Taylor (screenwriter)
Michael Taylor (born February 15, 1969) is a screenwriter who is best known for his work as a writer for both '' Star Trek: Deep Space Nine'' and '' Star Trek: Voyager.'' Taylor is a native New Yorker. He attended The Bronx High School of Science and Yale University. Taylor had a varied career prior to writing for television, including working as a newspaper and magazine reporter, as well as a musician who performed on guitar and sang with a rock band. He began his television work as a freelance writer for the Deep Space Nine, where he wrote one of the franchise's classic episodes, " The Visitor," while living in New York and still pursuing his musical interests. Rockne S
The Rockne was an American automobile brand produced by the Studebaker Corporation of South Bend, Indiana, from 1932 to 1933. The brand was named for University of Notre Dame football coach Knute Rockne and were produced in Detroit, Michigan. US production Discussions between Studebaker and Knute Rockne began in 1928. Rockne was offered a high-visibility job by Studebaker president Albert Erskine. Studebaker planned for a durable, inexpensive car. "Pilot" is the two-part/two-hour first episode of the first season of the American science fiction series ''Defiance'', and the series' first episode overall. It was aired on April 15, 2013. The episode was written by Rockne S. O'Bannon (part 1) and Kevin Murphy & Michael Taylor (part 2). Both parts were directed by Scott Stewart. Plot Nolan (Grant Bowler) and Irisa (Stephanie Leonidas) drive through the terraformed landscape of Earth and observe an Arkfall event. They find the impact site and search the wreckage for salvageable technology, recovering a spherical power source. They are ambushed by Irathient marauders but escape with the sphere; Irisa is wounded and collapses.
