The Defense Human Resources Activity (DHRA) is a United States Department of Defense (DoD) Field Activity chartered to support the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)). The under secretary is appointed from civilian life by the president and confirmed by the Senate to serve at the pleasure of the President.
