Joint Intelligence Training Group
The Joint Intelligence Training Group (JITG) is the location of the headquarters of both the Defence College of Intelligence and the British Army Intelligence Corps. It is located at Chicksands, Bedfordshire, approximately north of London. The site was formerly known as the Defence Intelligence and Security Centre (DISC) since its move from Ashford in 1997. The site was renamed as JITG on 1 January 2015. The green beret was the official headdress of the British Commandos of the Second World War. It is still worn by members of the Royal Marines after passing the Commando Course, and personnel from other units of the Royal Navy, Army and RAF who serve within 3 Commando Brigade and who have passed the All Arms Commando Course. This is a list of Royal Air Force Trade Groups (RAF TG). Each ground trade in the Royal Air Force (RAF) is assigned to a Trade Group (TG), which it operates under for command and control. Originally, the trades were organised in groups numbering I, II, III, IV and V, and M for any medical associated trades. They were changed into the 22 Trade Groups as shown below in 1951, and have since undergone amalgamation into 19 groups in 1964, and down to 18 by the early 2000s. With further amalgamations, only 17 of the original groups now exist. The Royal Air Force Museum Cosford, located in Cosford in Shropshire, is a free (currently, 2022) museum dedicated to the history of aviation and the Royal Air Force in particular. The museum is part of the Royal Air Force Museum, a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Ministry of Defence and also a registered charity. The museum is spread over two sites in England; the other site is at the Royal Air Force Museum London at Colindale (near Hendon) in north London. History The London museum was officially opened at the Colindale (then part of Hendon) London site on 15 November 1972 by Queen Elizabeth II. The hangars housed just 36 aircraft at opening.
