Colin C. (born Colin Cameron Allrich in Cape Cod, Massachusetts) is an American musician, remixer, audio engineer, and sound designer who began his career as a self-taught musician and producer with the first wave internet musicians associated with MP3.com's launch in the late 90s while living on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. In these early years he was known for exploring PC computer based sequencing with Jeskola Buzz and working in various early EDM genres. Colin found music inspiring from an early age and as a teenager discovered electronic music via U.S. based Wax Trax! Imports such as Underworld and Autechre that would fuel his desire to produce and DJ. Colin spent the early 2000s living in Los Angeles, California working a day job with Apple computer as a Logic Pro certified trainer and DJing around LA and Hollywood nightly, opening for DJs such as Paul Oakenfold. Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Cape Cod is a peninsula extending into the Atlantic Ocean from the southeastern corner of mainland Massachusetts, in the northeastern United States. Its historic, maritime character and ample beaches attract heavy tourism during the summer months. The name Cape Cod, coined in 1602 by Bartholomew Gosnold, is the ninth oldest English place-name in the U.S. As defined by the Cape Cod Commission's enabling legislation, Cape Cod is conterminous with Barnstable County, Massachusetts. It extends from Provincetown in the northeast to Woods Hole in the southwest, and is bordered by Plymouth to the northwest. Wax Trax! Records
Wax Trax! Records is an American independent record label based in Chicago. It began as a record shop in Denver, Colorado, opened by life partners Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher, who sold the store in 1978 and moved to Chicago. In November of that year, they opened a store under the same name in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. During the 1980s and 1990s, the accompanying record label became a presence on the new wave and punk rock scenes in the city, and an outlet for European bands. The label was purchased in 1992 by TVT Records and was discontinued in 2001. In 2014, it was re-established by Julia Nash, daughter of co-founder Jim Nash. Richard Giraldi of the ''Chicago Sun-Times'' wrote, "As important as Chess Records was to blues and soul music, Chicago's Wax Trax imprint was just as significant to the punk rock, new wave and industrial genres." Angelspit
Angelspit is an electronic music band originally from Sydney, Australia, Sydney, Australia, and currently based in Chicago, United States. The band was formed in 2004 by vocalists/Synthesizer, synthesists Destroyx (Amelia Tan) and ZooG (Karl Learmont). The band's music combines stylistic elements of horror, punk, pop and electronic music. Their work contains imagery revolving around medical experiments and grotesque societies. Angelspit has toured with Angel Theory, Ayria, Ikon (Australian band), Ikon, KMFDM, Tankt and The Crüxshadows, and have also shared the stage with bands such as The Sisters of Mercy, Nitzer Ebb, Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly.
