Deep Down (film)
''Deep Down'' is a 1994 American erotic thriller film directed by John Travers and starring George Segal, Tanya Roberts, and Chris Young. The alternative title is ''Conversations in Public Places''. Plot A young man, Andy, comes to California, hoping to become a rock musician. He stays in a small house with a swimming pool, renting a room from a man who believed in his debt. There he meets a beautiful woman, Charlotte, who lives with a fierce and jealous husband much older than her. Charlotte seduces Andy, but later this affair proves to be far more sinister as she in fact wants to get rid of her husband. George Segal
George Segal Jr. (February 13, 1934 – March 23, 2021) was an American actor. He became popular in the 1960s and 1970s for playing both dramatic and comedic roles. After first rising to prominence with roles in acclaimed films such as ''Ship of Fools'' (1965) and '' King Rat'' (1965), he co-starred in the classic drama ''Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?'' (1966). Roderick Thorp
Roderick Mayne Thorp, Jr. (September 1, 1936 – April 28, 1999) was an American novelist specializing mainly in police procedural/crime novels. His novel '' The Detective'' was adapted into a film of the same name in 1968. Thorp is also better known for its sequel, the bestselling novel, '' Nothing Lasts Forever'', which later served as the basis for the film ''Die Hard'', thus Thorp became a creator of the entire media franchise of the same name. Two other Thorp novels, ''Rainbow Drive'' and ''Devlin'', were also adapted into TV movies. Life Thorp was born in Bronx, New York City. As a young college graduate, Thorp worked at a detective agency owned by his father. He would later teach literature and lecture on creative writing at schools and universities in New Jersey and California, and also wrote articles for newspapers and magazines. James Farentino
James Farentino (February 24, 1938 – January 24, 2012) was an American actor. He appeared in nearly 100 television, film, and stage roles, among them '' The Final Countdown'', ''Jesus of Nazareth'', and ''Dynasty''. Career Born in Brooklyn, New York, Farentino attended local schools followed later by studying drama and acting in Catholic school. In the 1950s and 1960s, he performed on the stage and a few TV roles.
