Deep Creek, Queensland
Deep Creek is a rural Suburbs and localities (Australia), locality in the North Burnett Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Deep Creek had a population of 16 people. Geography The Burnett River forms part of the northern boundary of the locality. A number of creeks rises in the south of the locality and flow to the north where they become tributaries of the Burnett River. The Gayndah Mundubbera Road passes through the locality from the north-east (Mount Debateable, Queensland, Mount Debateable) to the north-west (Glenrae, Queensland, Glenrae). The principal land use is grazing, but there is some irrigated farming in the north of the locality near the Burnett River. Education There are no schools in Deep Creek. The nearest primary and secondary schools are in Mundubbera (to Year 10) and in Gayndah (to Year 12). References

Deep Creek Lake
Deep Creek Lake is the largest inland body of water in the U.S. state of Maryland. It covers approximately and has of shoreline. Like all lakes in Maryland, it is man-made. The lake is home to a wide variety of aquatic life, such as freshwater fish and aquatic birds. The Wisp Ski Resort is located nearby. History The lake is a result of the Youghiogheny Hydroelectric Company hydroelectric project on Deep Creek in the 1920s. Deep Creek Dam, located about north of Oakland, Maryland, consists of an earth and rock wall dam across a tributary of the Youghiogheny River. Construction of the dam began in 1923 and was completed in 1925. The hydroelectric plant became operational at 4:00 p.m. on May 26, 1925. The state of Maryland purchased the lake in 2000 from the Pennsylvania Electric Company, and Deep Creek Lake State Park provides public access to the lake. Deep Creek is a stream of approximately 23 miles which is formed at the confluence of the North Fork Deep Creek and South Fork Deep Creek two miles southwest of the community of Deep Creek, Washington on the far western edge of Spokane County. The creek has its mouth at the Spokane River in Riverside State Park where it cuts a thin canyon through basalt with depths reaching over 600 feet from the land above. The creek and its tributaries flow through mostly rural agricultural areas east of the Spokane urban area, though the headwaters and mouth are both located on state-owned conservation land.
