Grandpa is Dead (Filipino:Ded na si Lolo) is a Philippine satirical comedy-drama film directed and written by Soxy Topacio. It was selected as the Philippine submission for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 82nd Academy Awards over ''Lola'' by Brilliante Mendoza. It was not accepted as a nominee. Synopsis Bobet (BJ Forbes) and his family are mourning over the death of his grandfather. Bernard Joecel Forbes (born March 27, 1998) is a Filipino actor. Dick Israel
Ricardo Vizcarra Michaca (10 December 1947 – 11 October 2016), known by his stage name Dick Israel, was a Filipino character actor who played mostly villain and sidekick roles in many Filipino movies. He later branched out in television playing father and supporting roles. On 11 October 2016, Israel suffered blood vomiting, and later died in his home, according to actress Vivian Velez, a member of the Damay Kamay Foundation. He was 68.
