''Decoys'' is a Canadian comedy web series, which premiered in 2020 on CBC Gem. The series centres on a group of duck decoy carvers who are competing for the top award at the Northern Alberta Carving Cup. The cast includes David Pelech, Rup Magon, Kelly Van der Burg, Nelu Handa, Alice Moran, Brian Paul, Keram Malicki-Sánchez, Brandon Oakes, Tracey Hoyt and Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll. Pelech was the creator of the series. A duck decoy (or decoy duck) is a man-made object resembling a real duck. Duck decoys are sometimes used in waterfowl hunting to attract real ducks. Duck decoys were historically carved from wood, often Atlantic white cedar wood on the east coast of the US from Maine to South Carolina, or cork. Modern ones may also be made of canvas and plastic. Rupinder "Rup" Singh Magon ( Punjabi: ਰੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਗੋਨ) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, producer, actor and author born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. He is a co-lead singer of JoSH, a South Asian fusion band. Music career Rup founded Josh in 1996 with his brother, Rik Magon, and good friend Shiraz 'Shazi' Hussain. Alice Moran
Alice Moran is a British-Canadian actress and writer. Moran has appeared or starred in several Canadian television series, including the CBC Television series ''Crawford''.
