Decoder (duo)
Decoder is the collective stage name of drum and bass/jungle producers Darren Beale and Mark Caro. Biography Beale started his career in 1991 using various aliases creating some old school hardcore tracks. He continued with fine tuning the deep jungle sounds under the Orca and Koda aliases on Lucky Spin Records and its sister label, Deejay Recordings, releasing "Tranquility to Earth" in 1994. In 1995 he first used the Decoder pseudonym, pioneering the dark or 'tech step' style of drum & bass, often on Mark Caro's label Tech Itch Recordings. 1997 saw release of Decoder's ''Decoded EP''. Decoder's releases appeared on various labels, including Breakbeat Culture with Markee Ledge as Decoder & Substance, Tech Itch Recordings, BS1 Records, Hard Leaders, 31 Records and Audio Couture. Paul Pesce, better known as Peshay, is a British drum and bass and electronic music producer and DJ. Early life Peshay is of British and Italian heritage. His first introduction to music was at an early age through his mother who was a well regarded classical singer. He is described as a music obsessive from an early age with interests in jazz, funk, soul and early electro and hip-hop. Although he is widely regarded as an influential music producer, he is also regarded as a groundbreaking DJ having been behind the turntables from as early as 13 years of age. Adam Fenton (born 8 February 1972) is an English record producer and DJ who has worked across various genres. He is also the co-founder of the drum and bass label Breakbeat Kaos along with DJ Fresh. He found initial success with the 1990s drum and bass singles "Circles", "Metropolis" / "Mother Earth", and "F-Jam", before releasing his debut studio album ''Colours'' in 1997. In 2001, he transitioned into hip hop music, producing the album '' Kaos: The Anti-Acoustic Warfare'', featuring collaborations with LL Cool J, Redman and De La Soul. Tom Casswell, better known as TC and also as Tommy Boy, is an English drum and bass producer, singer and DJ. He left school and started making music inspired by the sounds of the Bristol scene and the music and atmosphere of St. Paul's, the area of Bristol where he grew up. The first two releases from TC "Get It On" and "Make a Little Space" appeared on Bristol based label BS1 Records. His debut album, ''Evolution'', was released in 2007 on D-Style Recordings. TC also presented the latest edition of ''Watch the Ride'', a compilation CD released several times a year. Scratch Perverts and DJ Zinc have released them previously.
