Debbie Jenkinson
Debbie Jenkinson is an illustrator and comic artist from Dublin, Ireland, who is active in the small-press comic scene. She is the creator of a long-form comic, ''Remorse'' a story about a young Dubliner who is trapped in a call center job. It was chosen as runner up on Comicosity's Best of 2015 by Alison Berry. Jenkinson studied animation in the 1990s at Ballyfermot, when she read and was inspired by Art Spiegelman's ''Maus ''Maus'' is a graphic novel by American cartoonist Art Spiegelman, serialized from 1980 to 1991. An artist is a person engaged in an activity related to creating art, practicing the arts, or demonstrating an art. The common usage in both everyday speech and academic discourse refers to a practitioner in the visual arts only. Sarah Bowie
Sarah Bowie is an Irish illustrator, author and cartoonist. Life and career Bowie lives in Dublin where she was a founder member of The Comics Lab. Although she got a degree in marketing and languages in 1999, she has gone on to become a visual artist. Her art has appeared in a range of books, comics and magazines including cover illustrations such as an issue of the Dublin Inquirer. She has supported comics creators in producing their published work. She published her first picture book in 2016. Bowie worked as a Visual Analyst for a design thinking company. She organised the first indie Irish-French Comics Festival. Bowie completed a three-month residency in Angouleme. She has published several children's books. Bowie also does workshops with children. National College Of Art And Design
The National College of Art and Design (NCAD) is Ireland's oldest art institution, offering the largest range of art and design degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the country. Originating as a drawing school in 1746, many of the most important Irish artists, designers and art educators have studied or taught in the college.
