Deb Adair (born April 22, 1966, in Manchester, Connecticut) is an American re-recording mixer. She won 3 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Film Sound Mixing and Outstanding Sound Mixing - Special Class for her work on '' Aladdin'' in 1995- 1996 and '' Timon & Pumbaa'' in 1997. On January 24, 2012, she was nominated for an Academy Award for the movie '' Moneyball''. Adair attended Syracuse University in the TV, Radio, and Film Production program. Manchester is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. As of the 2020 census, the town had a total population of 59,713. The urban center of the town is the Manchester census-designated place, with a population of 36,379 at the 2020 census. The town is named after Manchester, in England. History The area known as Manchester began its recorded history as the camping grounds of a small band of peaceful Native Americans known as the Podunk tribe. The area was settled by colonists around 1673, some 40 years after Thomas Hooker led a group of Puritans from Massachusetts Bay Colony to found Hartford. A re-recording mixer in North America, also known as a dubbing mixer in Europe, is a post-production audio engineer who mixes recorded dialogue, sound effects and music to create the final version of a soundtrack for a feature film, television program, or television advertisement. The final mix must achieve a desired sonic balance between its various elements, and must match the director's or sound designer's original vision for the project.
