"The Death of Buffy" is a story arc that ran through ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' #43–45 based on the ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' television series. "As You Were" is the fifteenth episode of season 6 of the television show ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer''. The storyline concerns Riley's return to Sunnydale with his wife Sam and their search for a creature called a Suvolte Demon. Reviewers commended the episode for its emotional impact and character development. Plot Buffy and Riley fight a Suvolte demon on the streets of Sunnydale, but it escapes and they pursue him to a dam in his car. Riley's wife, Sam, arrives and jumps into the fight. Buffy recovers from the shock of Riley being married and Riley tells her about his life since he left. Buffy snaps the demon's neck, shocking Sam and Riley, who had hoped to take it alive. The Gift (Buffy Episode)
"The Gift" is the season 5 finale, and the 100th episode, of the fantasy-horror television series ''Buffy the Vampire Slayer'' (1997-2003). The episode serves as the "WB Finale" of the series, as it moved to the UPN channel for the remainder of the series. In "The Gift", Buffy refuses to accept that her sister Dawn's death is the only way to defeat the hell-god Glory and prepares to do battle. In the end, she discovers the meaning of her "gift".
