Death Walks Behind You
''Death Walks Behind You'' is the second studio album by British rock band Atomic Rooster, released on September 1970. It was their first album to receive US release, albeit in a different sleeve. It is commonly thought of as the archetypal Atomic Rooster album, recorded by the 'classic' line-up of Vincent Crane, John Du Cann and Paul Hammond. It is certainly, critically and commercially, their most successful album and often hailed as a classic of the progressive rock genre. It also produced the hit single " Tomorrow Night" (UK #11), which became one of the band's best-known songs. The album's cover features the William Blake monotype ''Nebuchadnezzar''. Band photos were taken at Churchfield Road Cemetery, Acton W3, by former actor-turned photographer, Richard Lyon. Paul Hammond (musician)
Paul Hammond (1952–1992) was an English rock drummer who was a member of the progressive rock band Atomic Rooster and the hard rock band Hard Stuff during the 1970s. Career Born in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, Hammond began playing drums aged 12, and joined his first band, The Farm, after winning a competition in the '' Melody Maker'' music newspaper.Talevski, Nick – "Knocking on Heaven's Door: Rock Obituaries", Omnibus Press, 2006, p.242. ''Devil's Answer'' is a song by British rock band Atomic Rooster from their album, ''In Hearing of Atomic Rooster'' (1971). It is also a compilation of their live recordings, released in 1998 by Hux Records. The compilation includes every extant in-studio session the band recorded for BBC Radio, as well as three live in-concert tracks. All of its contents, except for the three tracks recorded for the Friday Rock Show in 1981, have since been included on Castle Communications' 2004 reissues of Atomic Rooster's first four studio albums. The 1981 tracks remain exclusive to this disc. The mastering of all in-studio tracks on this disc renders them slower-sounding. The same problem exists on the selections that were used on the 2004 Castle Communications reissues. Carl Frederick Kendall Palmer (born 20 March 1950) is an English drummer best known as founding member and the last surviving member of the progressive rock supergroup Emerson, Lake & Palmer. He was also a founding member of progressive rock supergroup Asia. He has toured with his own bands since 2001, including Palmer, the Carl Palmer Band, and currently, Carl Palmer's ELP Legacy. Bigelf is an American progressive rock/progressive metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1991. They have since released four studio albums. Death SS (later also intended as a contraction of In Death of Steve Sylvester) is an Italian heavy metal band. Biography Death SS was formed in 1977 in Pesaro by Steve Sylvester (born Stefano Silvestri), a future member of the Ordo Templi Orientis,Yiva Asker: ''Death SS''. ''Nebuchadnezzar'' is a colour monotype print with additions in ink and watercolour portraying the Old Testament Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II by the English poet, painter, and printmaker William Blake.
