''Death Rides a Pale Cow'' is a greatest hits album by the punk rock band the Dead Milkmen, released in 1997. Release The compilation contains two previously unreleased songs: "Milkmen Stomp" and "Labor Day". The band was unable to include tracks from ''Soul Rotation'' and ''Not Richard, But Dick'', as Hollywood Records still retained the rights. It takes its name from an early cassette-only release. Dead Milkmen
The Dead Milkmen is an American punk rock band formed in 1983 in Philadelphia. Their original lineup consisted of vocalist and keyboardist Rodney Linderman ("Rodney Anonymous"), guitarist and vocalist Joe Genaro ("Joe Jack Talcum"), bassist Dave Schulthise ("Dave Blood") and drummer Dean Sabatino ("Dean Clean"). The band distinguished itself in the hardcore punk scene of the early 1980s through its jangly punk sound and sardonic humor delivered with thick Philadelphia accents. ''Metaphysical Graffiti'' is the fifth studio album by the Dead Milkmen, released by Enigma Records in 1990. The album title and cover art, the latter designed by the band's drummer Dean Clean, parody the 1975 album '' Physical Graffiti'' by Led Zeppelin. Two tracks ("Do the Brown Nose" and "If You Love Somebody, Set Them on Fire") appear on '' Death Rides a Pale Cow''. The album peaked at No. 164 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Production Like ''Bucky Fellini'' and ''Beelzebubba'', ''Metaphysical Graffiti'' was recorded in Austin, Texas, and was produced by Brian Beattie. ''Bucky Fellini'' is the third studio album by The Dead Milkmen. It was released in 1987 by Enigma. The album peaked at No. 163 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The album produced one single, "Instant Club Hit (You'll Dance to Anything)". An EP was released containing the single and multiple remixes, as well as previously unreleased tracks. The Meatmen are an American punk band headed by Tesco Vee, originally existing from 1981 to 1988, before reforming in the mid-1990s, and again in the 2000s.
