Arthur Crabtree
Arthur Crabtree (29 October 1900 in Shipley, Yorkshire, England – 15 March 1975 in Worthing, Sussex, England) was a British cinematographer and film director. He directed films with comedians such as Will Hay, the Crazy Gang and Arthur Askey and several of the Gainsborough Melodramas. Cinematographer Crabtree earliest credits as a cinematographer were for British International Pictures. He shot '' Out of the Blue'' (1931) with Jessie Matthews; '' Verdict of the Sea'' (1932); and ''The Maid of the Mountains'' (1932). Crabtree did some films for Michael Powell, '' Lazybones'' (1935) and ''The Love Test'' (1935). He was a camera operator on ''First a Girl''. Gainsborough Pictures Crabtree joined Gainsborough Pictures. Alfred Mulock Rogers (June 30, 1926 – May 1968), better known as Al Mulock or Al Mulloch, was a Canadian character actor. Early life Alfred Mulock Rogers was born on June 30, 1926 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was the only child of Adèle Cawthra Mulock (1904–1970) and Alfred Rogers. Maternally he was descended from the Mulock family, headed by Sir William Mulock KCMG, the former Postmaster-General of Canada and one of the wealthiest families in the then-Dominion of Canada. Charles Farrell (6 August 1900 – 27 August 1988) was an Irish stage, film and television actor. Born 6 August 1900 in Dublin, Ireland, Farrell moved to America and appeared in a stock company in Detroit when a child. In 1921 he moved to England and made his first stage appearance at the Coliseum. His first film appearance was in John Bunny and Flora Finch comedies. Unlike his heroic American namesake, he was (later) cast in villainous film roles. This contrasted with his frequent broadcasts of fairy tales on BBC radio's '' Children's Hour''.
