Dear Relatives
''Dear Relatives'' (Swedish: ''Kära släkten'') is a 1933 Swedish comedy film directed by Gustaf Molander and starring Gösta Ekman, Tutta Rolf and Carl Barcklind. It was a hit at the box office.Wright p.32 It was made at the Råsunda Studios in Stockholm. The film's sets were designed by the art director Arne Åkermark. Synopsis The plot revolves around a wealthy wholesaler, his three daughters and their husbands. While two of his sons-in-law are doing very well, but the third is an impoverished nobleman married to his daughter Lilli. They attempt to boost their fortunes by opening a nightclub. Gustaf Molander
Gustaf Harald August Molander (18 November 1888 – 19 June 1973) was a Sweden, Swedish actor and film director. His parents were director Harald Molander, Sr. (1858–1900) and singer and actress Lydia Molander, ''née'' Wessler, and his brother was the director Olof Molander (1892–1966). He was the father of director and producer Harald Molander from his first marriage to actress Karin Molander and father to actor Jan Molander from his second marriage to Elsa Fahlberg (1892–1977). Gustaf Molander was born in Helsinki, Helsingfors (now Helsinki) in the Grand Duchy of Finland (in the Russian Empire), where his father was working at the Swedish Theatre. He studied in the school of the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm 1907–1909, acted at the Swedish theatre in Helsingfors 1909–1913, and then at the Royal Dramatic Theatre from 1913 to 1926. Oscar Byström (actor)
Oscar Byström (31 December 1857 – 4 June 1938) was a Swedish actor. Byström debuted in 1884 at the Royal Dramatic Theatre. During 1885–1886, when he was involved in the theater company of Oscar Sternvall-Skottes . Byström was employed at the Royal Dramatic Theatre from 1890 to 1893.
