Dean Young (snooker Player)
Dean Young (born 7 January 2002) is a Scottish professional snooker player. Career Young went to Firrhill High School and has been playing since the age of seven. He is based at the Locarno Snooker Club in Edinburgh. He won the U-21 Scotland National Snooker Championship in 2018 and 2019 defeating Aaron Graham on both occasions. The 2022 Snooker Shoot Out (officially the 2022 BetVictor Snooker Shoot Out) was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place from 20 to 23 January 2022 at the Morningside Arena in Leicester, England. It was the eighth ranking event of the 2021–22 snooker season, played under a variation of the standard rules of snooker. The event was the fourth of eight events sponsored by BetVictor, making up the 2022 European Series. Ryan Day was the defending champion, having defeated Mark Selby 67–24 in the 2021 final, but he was defeated in the first round by Jak Jones. British Open (snooker)
The British Open is a professional snooker tournament, held as a ranking tournament from 1985. The tournament had not been held since the 2004/2005 season, until the 2021/2022 season when it was confirmed as returning to the calendar after 17 years. The tournament had various sponsors and venues over the years. It took place around November each year. Prior to the 1999/2000 season, it was held later in the season. As a result, two tournaments were held in 1999, one for the 1998/1999 season and one for the 1999/2000 season. The reigning (2022) champion is Welshman Ryan Day who defeated Northern Irishman Mark Allen to take his first title. The German Masters is a professional ranking snooker tournament held at the Tempodrom in Berlin, Germany since 2011. The tournament had many name changes in its history, as the tournament was formerly called International Open, Matchroom Trophy and Players Championship.
