Dean Coney
Dean Henry Coney (born 18 September 1963) is a former professional footballer, who played for Fulham, Queens Park Rangers and Norwich City. A cruciate ligament injury at Norwich ended his professional career, after which he played briefly in Hong Kong before playing non-league football back in England with Farnborough Town and Carshalton Athletic. He went on to manage Farnborough and was most recently assistant manager at Dagenham & Redbridge F.C. Career Coney began his career with Fulham, making his debut at the age of 17. He showed great promise and scored 19 goals in his first full season. He was capped by England under-21s. However, he was unable to maintain his early scoring rate and moved to QPR, who paid £200,000 for him in 1987. He failed to settle at Loftus Road, due partly to the fact that manager Trevor Francis often played him in midfield. Dagenham
Dagenham () is a town in East London, England, within the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Dagenham is centred east of Charing Cross. It was historically a rural parish in the Becontree Hundred of Essex, stretching from Hainault Forest in the north to the River Thames in the south. Dagenham remained mostly undeveloped until 1921, when the London County Council began construction of the large Becontree housing estate. The population significantly increased as people moved to the new housing in the early 20th century, with the parish of Dagenham becoming Dagenham Urban District in 1926 and the Municipal Borough of Dagenham in 1938. In 1965 Dagenham became part of Greater London when most of the historic parish become part of the London Borough of Barking. Dave Stringer
David Stringer (born 15 October 1944 in Great Yarmouth) is an English former footballer and manager of Norwich City. As a player, he won the fans' vote to be Norwich City player of the year in 1972, the same year that they won promotion to the First Division for the first time, as Second Division champions, and made a total of 499 appearances for the club. He ended his playing career with Cambridge United before returning to Norwich city to coach the youth team, winning the FA Youth Cup in 1984. He went on to manage the reserve team and was appointed first team manager in December 1987 following the sacking of Ken Brown. He saved Norwich from relegation that season, and in his first full season ( 1988–89) Norwich emerged as an unlikely contender for the league title and FA Cup; they finished fourth in the league and reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup. Sea Bee ( or ), later known as Ernest Borel (),Takungpao, 1990-05-16, page 10 was a Hong Kong football club which competed for many years in the Hong Kong First Division. In 1993, the parent company of the club, Ernest Borel, loaned the right to compete in the First Division to another company, and the team competed as Voicelink () during the 1993–94 season. Nigel Spink
Nigel Philip Spink (born 8 August 1958) is an English football coach and former professional footballer. He played as a goalkeeper from 1976 until 2001. He made his name at Aston Villa and also made one appearance for England at international level on the tour of Australia in 1983. He also played in the Football League for West Bromwich Albion and Millwall, and at non-league level for Chelmsford City and Forest Green Rovers, the latter he would go on to manage between 2000 and 2002. Spink later worked as a goalkeeping coach for Birmingham City, Wigan Athletic, Sunderland and Bristol City. Carrow Road
Carrow Road is an association football stadium located in Norwich, Norfolk, England, and is the home of EFL Championship side Norwich City. The stadium is located toward the east of the city, near Norwich railway station and the River Wensum. Norwich City FC originally played at Newmarket Road before moving to The Nest. When The Nest was deemed inadequate for the size of crowds it was attracting, the Carrow Road ground, named after the road on which it is located, was purpose-built by Norwich City in just 82 days and opened on 31 August 1935.
