Deal Casino was an American alternative rock band formed in Sparta, New Jersey in 2013. The band consists of members Joe Parella (lead vocals, guitar), Jozii Cowell (guitar), Jon Rodney (bass), and Christopher Donofrio (drums). History The members of Deal Casino originally started playing together in elementary school, eventually forming a band called Something About January. After a lineup change and some massive changes in their writing process and their approach to music, the band renamed itself after the well-known Jersey beach club, The Deal Casino Bathing Pavilion, after an episode in which they waited for hours there in preparation for the 2013 Bamboozle Music Festival. The Deal Casino gets its name from an infamous shore town whose residents include people like movie theater magnate Walter Reade and Genovese crime family underboss Willie Moretti. Sparta is a township in Sussex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 19,600, reflecting a decrease of 122 (−0.6%) from the 2010 United States Census, when the township's population was 19,722, which in turn reflected an increase of 1,642 (+9.1%) from the 18,080 counted in the 2000 Census. Neon Trees
Neon Trees is an American rock band from Provo, Utah. The band received nationwide exposure in late 2008 when they opened several North American tour dates for the band The Killers. Not long after, the band was signed by Mercury Records. Their first single, "Animal", climbed to No. 13 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Alternative Songs chart. Since their formation, Neon Trees has released four studio albums: ''Habits'' (2010), ''Picture Show'' (2012), ''Pop Psychology'' (2014), and '' I Can Feel You Forgetting Me'' (2020). The Institute for Nonprofit News (INN) is a non-profit consortium of journalism organizations. The organization promotes nonprofit investigative and public service journalism through its association of member entities. History INN was founded as the Investigative News Network in 2009 at a summer conference held at the Pocantico Center in New York funded by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Surdna Foundation and the William Penn Foundation and organized by the Center for Public Integrity and the Center for Investigative Reporting. ''The Aquarian Weekly'' is a regional alternative weekly newspaper based in New Jersey, United States. Founded in 1969, its focus is rock music and related events in the New Jersey/New York City/Eastern Pennsylvania region. From 1986 to 1992, it was called ''East Coast Rocker''.
