''Dead Sara'' is the self-titled debut album by American rock band Dead Sara. It was released on April 10, 2012, by the band's own Pocket Kid Records and produced by Noah Shain. The album was critically acclaimed and reached number 16 on ''Billboard''s Heatseekers Albums chart. Its single "Weatherman" reached number 30 on the Mainstream Rock chart, 31 on Hot Rock Songs and 35 on Alternative Songs. Background "Weatherman" is the first song the current line-up of Dead Sara created, when Siouxsie Medley came up with the guitar riff in a rehearsal and Chris Null wrote the verses via a bassline. "Sorry for It All" was previously released on the 2008 EP ''The Airport Sessions''. Promotion On June 7, 2012, Dead Sara performed "Weatherman" and "Sorry for It All" on ''Jimmy Kimmel Live!''. Dead Sara is an American hard rock band from Seattle, consisting of Emily Armstrong ( lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Siouxsie Medley (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Sean Friday ( drums, backing vocals), best known for their single "Weatherman" from their debut eponymous album ''Dead Sara'' (2012). Their most recent album ''Ain't It Tragic'' was released in September 2021. History Formation and early years (2002–2010) Emily Armstrong and Siouxsie Medley both began as guitarists and singer-songwriters. Armstrong first picked up a guitar at the age of 12, while Medley began practicing from age 9 on a Fender Telecaster owned by her nanny (Dexy Valentine of Magic Wands), before two years' worth of saved allowances allowed Medley to buy her own guitar at age 11. Bush are an English rock band formed in London, England in 1992. Their current lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Gavin Rossdale, lead guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz, and drummer Nik Hughes. In 1994, Bush found immediate success outside the UK with the release of their debut album, ''Sixteen Stone'', which is certified six times multi-platinum by the RIAA. Chevelle (band)
Chevelle is an American rock band formed in Grayslake, Illinois, in 1995. The band was originally composed of two brothers, Pete Loeffler (lead vocals and guitar) and Sam Loeffler (drums and percussion), along with Matt Scott (bass and backing vocals). Scott was replaced by Sam and Pete's brother, Joe Loeffler, in 1996. When Joe left the band in 2005, Geno Lenardo subbed in as the touring bassist until he was replaced by Pete and Sam's brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini. Bernardini departed from the band in 2019, and in 2021, Kemble Walters joined the band as a touring bassist. Vans Warped Tour
The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the tour’s main sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Vans toured Australia in 1998-2002 and again in 2013. Although Vans continued as main sponsor and lent its name to the festival, other sponsors also participated, with stages or other aspects of the festival being named after them on occasion.
