De Luz Heights (''De Luz'', Spanish for "Of Light") is an unincorporated community that is in northwestern San Diego County, California, United States. Geography De Luz Heights is on the Santa Rosa Plateau of the Santa Ana Mountains. It is between De Luz Road to the west and Sandia Creek Drive to the east. It is northwest of Fallbrook, southwest of Temecula, and immediately east of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton is the major West Coast base of the United States Marine Corps and is one of the largest Marine Corps bases in the United States. Fallbrook is a CDP in northern San Diego County, California. Fallbrook had a population of 30,534 at the 2010 census, up from 29,100 at the 2000 census. The Santa Rosa Plateau is an upland plateau and southeastern extension of the Santa Ana Mountains in Riverside County, southern California. It is bounded by the rapidly urbanizing Inland Empire cities of Murrieta and Temecula to the northeast and southeast, respectively.
