Day Star
Day Star (1875–1893) was the winner of the 4th annual Kentucky Derby held at Churchill Downs on May 21, 1878. He was a chestnut colt that was foaled in Kentucky and was sired by Star Davis (by the successful Glencoe). His dam was Squeeze-'em who was sired by Lexington, a foundation sire of many modern Thoroughbred lineages. Day Star won the Derby by two lengths in an official time of 2:37.25, beating the race record set by Aristides in 1875, and winning a total of $4,050. In his career, he had 42 starts, 11 wins, 7 places and 5 shows. ''Daystar'' (stylized in all caps) is the fifth studio album by Canadian rapper Tory Lanez. It was released on September 25, 2020, by One Umbrella Records and was his first independent release after departing from Interscope Records. The music was largely written by Lanez and produced with a variety of record producers, while featuring a sole guest appearance by fellow rapper Yoko Gold. Controversy followed the album when it was released amid criminal allegations against Lanez that he had shot fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion earlier in 2020. Many critics chose not to review the album, and some writers condemned Lanez for using it to deny the allegations. DayStar Digital, Inc. was a company founded in 1983 by Andrew Lewis as a subcontract manufacturer of electronic assemblies and circuit boards. In 1986, the company released memory upgrades for Apple Macintosh (Mac) computers as its first products, and in 1987, DayStar began to market processor upgrades exclusively for the Mac, the first being for the Apple Macintosh II computer. The company focused exclusively on this market for the full range of Mac computers through 1995, utilizing the Motorola 68030, 68040 and PowerPC 601 processors. The Daystar Television Network (commonly referred to as Daystar Television, often shortened to Daystar) is an American evangelical Christian-based religious television network owned by the Word of God Fellowship, founded by Marcus Lamb in 1993. Daystar is headquartered in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Bedford, Texas. The network is based around prosperity theology. History In 1984, Marcus and Joni Lamb (née Trammell) moved to Montgomery, Alabama to launch the state's first full-power Christian television station, WMCF-TV. Daystar is a Christian liberal arts university in Nairobi. Daystar's original campus is close to Nairobi city centre, but there was no room to expand at that location. Therefore, in 1992 a new campus was built at Athi River, some 40 km to the south-east of the city, on the Mombasa Road which became the main campus. Rosalie Mae Jones, known professionally as Daystar, is a dancer, choreographer, educator and founder and artistic director of DAYSTAR: Contemporary Dance-Drama of Indian America. Early life and education Rosalie Mae (in some sources May) Jones was born on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana in 1941. She was raised off the reserve in the town of Cut Bank, studied ballet and piano as a child, and was encouraged by her parents to pursue higher education. She attended Fort Wright College, where she studied piano, and a class in Modern Dance led by Hanya Holm, which changed the course of her studies. Lucifer
Lucifer is one of various figures in folklore associated with the planet Venus. The entity's name was subsequently absorbed into Christianity as a name for the devil.
