''ScreenPlay'' is a television drama anthology series broadcast on BBC2 between 9 July 1986 and 27 October 1993. Background After single-play anthology series went off the air, the BBC introduced several showcases for made-for-television, feature length filmed dramas, including ''ScreenPlay''. Various writers and directors were utilized on the series. Writer Jimmy McGovern was hired by producer George Faber to pen a series five episode based upon the Merseyside needle exchange programme of the 1980s. The episode, directed by Gillies MacKinnon, was entitled ''Needle'' and featured Sean McKee, Emma Bird, and Pete Postlethwaite''.'' The last episode of the series was titled "Boswell and Johnson's Tour of the Western Islands" and featured Robbie Coltrane as English writer Samuel Johnson, who in the autumn of 1773, visits the Hebrides off the north-west coast of Scotland. ''Daylight Robbery'' is a British television crime drama series, broadcast on ITV, that ran for two series from 9 September 1999 until 18 December 2000. The series focuses on four Essex housewives struggling with personal and domestic problems. Kathy Lawrence (Michelle Collins), Carol Murphy (Lesley Sharp), Val McArdle (Geraldine Somerville) and Paula Sullivan (Emily Woof) decide to turn to a life of crime when they are held up by an armed gang in the supermarket. After pulling off an easy first job, the gang gradually become more daring, but find their luck turning when they stage a raid on Kathy's bank. ''Daylight Robbery'' is a 2008 British crime film, directed by Paris Leonti and starring Paul Nicholls and Geoff Bell. Plot Alex masterminds an ambitious plan to steal millions of pounds in untraceable, used banknotes which are stacked in the underground vaults of the London Exchange Bank, where they await incineration. Lucky, Matty, Terry, Chubby, Norman and Jay make up his unlikely gang of robbers. They initially set up an alibi, by checking in for a flight to join thousands of England supporters in a mass exodus to the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
