Daybreak (2010 TV Programme)
''Daybreak'' is a British Breakfast television, breakfast television program that was broadcast on ITV (TV network), ITV from 6 September 2010 to 25 April 2014. ''Daybreak'' replaced ''GMTV (TV programme), GMTV'', which aired its last weekday edition on 3 September 2010. ''Daybreak'' launched three days later. In March 2014, ITV announced that the show would end later in 2014 to be replaced by the launch of ''Good Morning Britain (2014 TV programme), Good Morning Britain'' on 28 April 2014. History The decision to replace ''GMTV'' with ''Daybreak'' followed the full takeover of GMTV by ITV plc, ITV. ''Daybreak'' and ''Lorraine (TV programme), Lorraine'' made up the weekday output of ITV Breakfast. At weekends, children's programming filled this slot. Daybreak (1983 TV Series)
''Daybreak'' was a short-lived early morning news programme, on the former United Kingdom breakfast station TV-am. It originally ran from 06:00 to 07:00 with an emphasis on news stories. The first edition was broadcast on the TV-am launch date of 1 February 1983. ''Daybreak'' was presented by Robert Kee and Angela Rippon who both took turns in presenting. As TV-am's viewing figures fell rapidly after its launch, and major shake ups took place, ''Daybreak'' was cut back to 30 minutes from 28 February 1983. Robert Kee and Angela Rippon were both replaced, with Gavin Scot (Weekdays) and Lynda Barry (weekends). Daybreak was then cut to only 15 minutes, as well as moving to a green screen studio. ''Daybreak'' was axed on Monday 23 May 1983. The name was revived in 2010 for ITV's replacement for GMTV. The One Show
''The One Show'' is a British television magazine and chat show programme. Broadcast live on BBC One weeknights at 7:00 pm, it features topical stories and studio guests. It is currently co-hosted by Alex Jones, Jermaine Jenas, and Ronan Keating. Various reporters also assist with subject-specific presenting, both in the studio and on location, or through filmed segments. Originally produced in Birmingham and then in the BBC Media Village in White City, London, since 2014 the studio has been based in Broadcasting House, the BBC's headquarters in London. Launched with a pilot series in 2006, leading to a full series from 2007, it has had various previous permanent and temporary hosts. Lorraine Kelly, (born 30 November 1959) is a Scottish journalist and television presenter. Aled Jones
Aled Jones, (born 29 December 1970) is a Welsh singer and radio and television presenter. As a teenage chorister, he reached widespread fame during the mid-1980s. Kathryn Mary Draper Garraway (born 4 May 1967) is an English broadcaster and journalist. In the 1990s, Garraway was a journalist for ITV News Central and later a co-presenter of ITV News Meridian. Daniel Jonathon Lobb (born 7 January 1972) is a British retired tennis player and television presenter, best known for co-presenting the ITV Breakfast programme '' Daybreak'' from 2010 until 2012. ''5 News at 5'', also known as ''Channel 5 News'', is the news programme of British broadcaster Channel 5, produced by ITN from its main newsroom on Gray's Inn Road, London. History ''5 News'' was one of the new station's flagship programmes when it launched on 30 March 1997. One of the launch newsreaders was Rob Butler, who became MP for Aylesbury in 2019.
