Day 26
Day26 is an American male R&B music group formed in August 2007 by Sean "Diddy" Combs in a handpicked selection at the end of MTV's ''Making the Band 4.'' The group consists of Robert Curry, Brian Angel, Willie Taylor, Qwanell Mosley and Michael McCluney. The moniker is a tribute to the day when Angel, McCluney, Mosely, Curry, and Taylor went from unknowns to stars. The group released their first album, Day26, on March 25, 2008, one week after their ''then'' labelmates and ''Making the Band 3'' winners Danity Kane released ''Welcome to the Dollhouse''. The album's first single, "Got Me Going", was released on the finale of ''Making the Band 4.'' The album went on to debut at number one on the billboard charts. Subsequent seasons of Making the Band 4 featured the group on tour and making their second album ''Forever in a Day'' which also topped the Billboard charts. 2009 American Music Awards
The 37th Annual American Music Awards took place on November 22, 2009 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California. The nominees were announced on October 13, 2009. For the first time in history, there was no host for the year's ceremony. Instead, various celebrities introduced the performers similar to the procedure at the Grammy Awards. Got Me Going is the debut single from the latest ''Making the Band'' group Day26. It is the first single from their debut album ''Day26''. The song was released digitally in January. Brian Angel, Willie Taylor, Robert Curry, and Big Mike sing lead on the album version. Que has additional ad libs on the single version. Music video The music video starts with an appearance by Diddy dressed in black. The camera then switches to the guys walking into a room to find a note left by Diddy on top of 5 black notebooks. They have to write lyrics to a song that they would be recording. As their turns come up each one has a setting with a beautiful model either in a luxurious bedroom or living room. The video also includes choreography with all members dressed in black. As the song comes to an end they finish their lyrics, close their notebooks, smile, get up, and walk out with their notebooks in hand. Sway Calloway is an American journalist, radio personality, executive producer and former rapper. Known as Sway, he is known for hosting music, news, and culture programming. He was the co-host of the nationally syndicated radio show ''The Wake Up Show as'' one half of the duo Sway & King Tech. Sway now hosts “Sway in the Morning” on SiriusXM Shade45 as well as the MTV show TRLAM. ''Making the Band'' is an ABC/MTV reality television series that exists in separate iterations, each focusing on a specific music act. It spawned musical acts O-Town, Da Band, Danity Kane, Day26, and Donnie Klang. Except for the first iteration of the series featuring O-Town, all seasons of ''Making the Band'' have been overseen by Sean Combs, Diddy, acting as the man of the house who makes the final decision on who will be in the band. Since You've Been Gone is the second single from American R&B boy-band Day26's debut album. The song was produced by Bryan-Michael Cox. Willie Taylor, Brian Angel, Robert Curry, and Big Mike share lead vocals. Music video The video was directed by Erik White and takes place in a hotel. It begins with the group entering the hotel and on top of the roof of the hotel in the daytime. The first solo scene is Willie on a couch in his hotel room singing a verse with a chain in his hand which was from his ex-girlfriend. The chorus takes place on the roof and the lobby of the hotel where they are all singing together. The second solo scene contains Brian in a vacant bar with only the bartender.
