Dawson Community College (DCC) is a public community college in Glendive, Montana. The college enrolls approximately 400 students and offers associate degree programs and certificate programs. It is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities and is part of the Montana University System. Academics Dawson offers the Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree programs. It also offers vocational certificate programs. The college has an open admissions policy. Campus housing The student housing complex is made up of thirty-six, two bedroom apartments which house up to six students. The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) is an independent, non-profit membership organization recognized by the United States Department of Education since 1952 as an institutional accreditor for colleges and universities. Scope Before 2020, when the Department of Education reorganized accreditation, NWCCU was the regional authority on educational quality and institutional effectiveness of higher education institutions in the seven-state Northwest region of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
