Dawn Richardson
Dawn Richardson (born April 19, 1964) is an American rock drummer, teacher, and writer of instructional books on percussion. She is best known as drummer for the San Francisco-based band 4 Non Blondes from 1991 to 1994. Musical career Early life and education Dawn Richardson was born in Pasadena, California. At the age of 13, after a friend's idea to learn a new instrument intrigued her, she broke away from playing the trombone and picked up a set of drumsticks instead. Richardson began taking lessons from Jim Volpe, a drum teacher and "local rock guy" in Southern California. Richardson earned her undergraduate degree in music, concentrating in percussion, at California State University, Los Angeles. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". ''Falling Uphill'' is the first album by the Canadian girl pop rock band Lillix. It released by Maverick Records on May 27, 2003. The album includes a cover version of The Romantics' song " What I Like About You". This song also notably appeared on the ''Freaky Friday'' soundtrack, as well as in The WB comedy series '' What I Like About You''. The single releases are " It's About Time", "What I Like About You", and " Tomorrow". "It's About Time" peaked at #17 on the Japan Top 20 chart, number 5 on ''TRL'', and number 33 on the ''Billboard'' US Mainstream Top 40 Airplay. ''Interbabe Concern'' is The Loud Family's third full-length album, and their first to be produced by Scott Miller instead of Mitch Easter. With the exception of keyboard player Paul Wieneke and Miller, this was a new line-up of the band. Personnel After touring in support of the 1994 album ''The Tape of Only Linda'', three members – bass player Rob Poor, guitarist Zachary Smith, and drummer Jozef Becker – left the group for family or career reasons.
