Davíð Arnar Ágústsson
Davíð Arnar Ágústsson (born 5 November 1996) is an Icelandic basketball player who plays for Úrvalsdeild karla club Þór Þorlákshöfn. Nicknamed Dabbi Kóngur (English: King Dabbi), he helped Þór Þorlákshöfn win its first ever national championship in 2021. Club career After starting his senior team career during the 2012–13 season, Davíð first made the spotlight after starting the 2015–16 season by making 14 out of his first 19 three point shots, earning him the nickname ''Dabbi Kóngur''. On 22 October 2015 when made seven out of eight three point shots, on his way to 21 points, in a victory against Tindastóll. Two games later, he made five out of seven three point shots in a victory against ÍR. Davíð helped Þór to the Icelandic Cup finals in both 2016 and 2017, where they lost to KR both times. Þorlákshöfn
Þorlákshöfn () is a town on the southern coast of Iceland in the Municipality of Ölfus. The town is named after Saint Thorlak who was a bishop at Skálholt. Its main importance is as a port as it has the only harbour on Iceland's southern coastline between Grindavík in the west and Höfn in the east. The port serves a direct weekly cargo ferries to Rotterdam and Hirtshals operated by Faroese Smyril Line. It is also one of two departure points for ferries to the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago. Services include restaurants, tourism, golf course, motocross field, camping, sport complex and a swimming pool. The town has several fish processing enterprises. The KR men's basketball team, commonly known as KR or KR Basket, is a professional basketball club based in Reykjavík, Iceland. It is the men's basketball department of Knattspyrnufélag Reykjavíkur (English: Reykjavík Football Club) multi-sport club. It has won the Icelandic championship eighteen times, the most national championships in the men's top-tier league history. In 2017 the club played in FIBA Europe Cup for the first time since 2008. The Iceland men's national basketball team ( is, Íslenska karlalandsliðið í körfubolta) represents Iceland in international basketball tournaments. The team is controlled by the Icelandic Basketball Association. Iceland has qualified for the EuroBasket twice, with the national team making their first ever appearance in 2015. They also participate at smaller European tournaments, such as the Games of the Small States of Europe. Although Iceland has yet to make their debut entrance on to the global stage at the FIBA World Cup. The Njarðvík men's basketball team, commonly known as Njarðvík or UMFN, is the men's basketball department of Ungmennafélag Njarðvíkur, based in the town of Reykjanesbær in Iceland. Deane Alexander Williams (born 23 September 1996) is a British professional basketball player for Napoli Basket of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). He played college basketball for Augusta University where he was named the Peach Belt Co-Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in 2019. In 2021, he was named the Úrvalsdeild Foreign Player of the Year. College career Williams played college basketball for Augusta University from 2015 to 2019. The Stjarnan men's basketball team, commonly known as Stjarnan, is the men's basketball department of Ungmennafélagið Stjarnan, based in the town of Garðabær, Iceland. It is a subdivision of Ungmennafélagið Stjarnan. History Stjarnan's men's basketball team was founded in 1993. It reached the Icelandic top-tier Úrvalsdeild karla in 2001. After losing all its games during the 2001–02 season, the team almost folded.
