Davie McParland
Davie McParland (5 May 1935 – 14 July 2018) was a Scottish association football, football player and manager (association football), manager. He played for Partick Thistle F.C., Partick Thistle for his whole senior career, making over 400 Scottish Football League, league appearances. After retiring as a player, he took over from Scott Symon as manager at Partick Thistle in 1970. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders.
