Davide Frattini
Davide Frattini (born 6 August 1978 in Varese) is an Italian former cyclist. He was raised in a cycling family where his father was sports director at a local club. Since childhood, he followed his brothers Francesco Frattini and Cristiano Frattini, who were also professional cyclists. In 2001, after earning his degree, he won the Baby Giro. The following year he turned professional with the team Alessio–Bianchi. He has participated in one Grand Tour, the 2003 Vuelta a España, and three Monuments: the 2014 Milan–San Remo and the 2014 and 2015 Paris–Roubaix. Frattini announced his retirement from competition in October 2015. Varese ( , , or ; lmo, label= Varesino, Varés ; la, Baretium; archaic german: Väris) is a city and ''comune'' in north-western Lombardy, northern Italy, north-west of Milan. History In 1995 Australian Bill Mitchell, a keen cyclist and professor of economics at the University of Newcastle, created the website titled "Bill’s Cycling Racing Results and News" after finding there was a need for fast-breaking news and race results in English-speaking countries. In 1999 Sydney-based publishing company Knapp Communications purchased the website from Mitchell, and in July 2007 they sold it to British publisher Future plc for £2.2m. In July 2014 it was bought by Immediate Media Company, along with the print-only ''Procycling'' magazine. In February 2019, Immediate Media sold its cycling titles back to Future. The Tour of the Gila is a cycling stage race for both men and women located in New Mexico, United States. It is sponsored by the component maker SRAM. The "Gila" began in 1987. Beginning in 2012, the men's Gila has been added to the UCI America Tour as a UCI classification 2.2 stage race, which permits UCI ProTeams to enter if they so choose; beginning in 2015, the women's Gila has also been added to the women's UCI international tour as a UCI classification 2.2 stage race. Beginning in Silver City, New Mexico, the men's course covers around over five days, while the women's course covers about less. 2015 Paris–Roubaix
The 2015 Paris–Roubaix was the 113th edition of the Paris–Roubaix one-day race. It took place on 12 April and was the tenth race of the 2015 UCI World Tour. It was won by John Degenkolb in a sprint ahead of Zdeněk Štybar and Greg Van Avermaet. Degenkolb became only the second German to win the race, after Josef Fischer's victory at the first edition 119 years earlier. Route The 2015 Paris–Roubaix was in length, slightly shorter than the previous editions. Despite the name suggesting that the race started in the French capital, it actually started in Compiègne, north of Paris. After a short, neutralised section, the race began in Clairoix. Alessio–Bianchi was an Italian professional cycling team which existed from 1998 to 2004. It was created in 1998 as Ballan. In 1999 Italian wheels manufacturer Alessio came in as co-sponsor, and in 2000 as main sponsor. The team was dissolved by the end of the 2004 season. History The team began in 1998 as Ballan.
