David Winner (soccer)
David Winner is a retired American soccer goalkeeper who had an extensive career in Major League Soccer, USISL and the USL A-League. Player Youth Winner graduated from Western High School where he was a 1989 Parade Magazine High School All American soccer player. He attended Florida International University. After one season, he transferred to the University of Tampa. In 1992, the Spartans finished runner-up in the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship. In 1994, Winner and his teammates won the NCAA Division II championship. He graduated in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in communications. Professional In 1995, Winner turned professional with the Tampa Bay Cyclones of the USISL Pro League. In 1996, he signed with the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer. USL First Division
The USL First Division (usually referred to as USL-1) was a professional men's soccer league in the United States and Canada from 2005 to 2010. During its existence, it formed the second tier of soccer in the United States soccer league system behind Major League Soccer. It was operated by United Soccer Leagues (USL) and was known as the A-League, from 1997 until 2004. Several teams left the league in 2009 to form the new North American Soccer League, with the intent of running their own second-tier league. Chris Snitko
Chris Snitko (born January 24, 1973), is a retired U.S. soccer goalkeeper (football), goalkeeper who was the 1995 ISAA Goalkeeper of the Year. He then spent six seasons in Major League Soccer and earned five cap (sports), caps with the United States U-23 men's national soccer team. Youth Snitko, though born in Hackensack, New Jersey, grew up in Anaheim, California. He attended Canyon High School (Anaheim, California), Canyon High School where he played on both the soccer and baseball teams. While in high school, Snitko also trained with the UCLA men's soccer team during his spare time. Antonio Michael "Tony" Meola (; ; born February 21, 1969) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a goalkeeper. He represented the United States national team at the 1990, 1994, and 2002 World Cups. NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship
The NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship is the annual tournament held by the NCAA to determine the top men's Division II college soccer program in the United States. It has been played annually since 1972; prior to then, all teams competed in a single class. The most successful program has been Southern Connecticut State, with six national titles. The current champion are Franklin Pierce, who won their first national title in 2022, defeating CSU Pueblo, 2–0, in the final.
