David White (English Cricketer)
David Geoffrey White (born 5 August 1967) is a former English cricketer. White was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium-fast. He was born at Horwich, Lancashire. White represented the Lancashire Cricket Board in a single List A match against the Netherlands in the 1999 NatWest Trophy. In his only List A match, he scored 1 run and with the ball he bowled 3 wicket-less overs. Horwich
Horwich ( ) is a town and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton, Greater Manchester, England. Prior to 1974 in the historic county of Lancashire. It is southeast of Chorley, northwest of Bolton and northwest of Manchester. It lies at the southern edge of the West Pennine Moors with the M61 motorway passing close to the south and west. At the 2011 Census, Horwich had a population of 20,067. Horwich emerged in the Middle Ages as a hunting chase. Streams flowing from the moors were harnessed to provide power for bleachworks and other industry at the start of the Industrial Revolution. The textile industry became a major employer and after 1884 the construction of the railway works caused the population of the town to increase dramatically. The 1999 NatWest Trophy was the 19th NatWest Trophy. It was an English limited overs county cricket tournament which was held between 4 May and 29 August 1999. The tournament was won by Gloucestershire who defeated Somerset by 50 runs in the final at Lord's. Format For the 1999 season, radical changes were made to the structure and format of the competition. Each side's innings was reduced from 60 overs per side to 50, in order to bring the county one-day game in line with the format of One Day Internationals. This in turn reduced the number of overs a bowler could bowl in an innings, down from 12 to 10. The number of teams participating was also greatly expanded. The Netherlands national cricket team (Dutch: Nederlandse cricket team) is the men's team that represents the Kingdom of the Netherlands and is administered by the Royal Dutch Cricket Association.
