David Wheeler (computer Scientist)
David John Wheeler FRS (9 February 1927 – 13 December 2004) was a computer scientist and professor of computer science at the University of Cambridge. Education Wheeler was born in Birmingham, England, the second of the three children of (Agnes) Marjorie, ''née'' Gudgeon, and Arthur Wheeler, a press tool maker, engineer, and proprietor of a small shopfitting firm. He was educated at a local primary school in Birmingham and then went on to King Edward VI Camp Hill School after winning a scholarship in 1938. His education was disrupted by World War II, and he completed his sixth form studies at Hanley High School. In 1945 he gained a scholarship to study the Cambridge Mathematical Tripos at Trinity College, Cambridge, graduating in 1948. He was awarded the world's first PhD in computer science in 1951. David John Wheeler (born 4 October 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for EFL League One club Wycombe Wanderers. Career Lewes Wheeler started his career at Lewes making his first start in the Conference Premier 2008–09 season against Torquay United. He scored his first senior goal against Altrincham, scored 8 times the following season and 4 in his final season. Staines Town On 26 June 2011, due to travel commitments associated with his studies at Brunel University, Wheeler left Lewes and signed with Staines Town of the Conference South as it was the closest club to the campus. David Wheeler (stage Director)
David Findley Wheeler (October 7, 1925 – January 4, 2012) was an American theatrical director. He was the founder and artistic director of the Theater Company of Boston (TCB) from 1963 to 1975. He served as its artistic director until its closure in 1975. Actors including Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Robert Duvall, Jon Voight, Stockard Channing, James Woods, Blythe Danner, Larry Bryggman, John Cazale, Hector Elizondo, Spalding Gray, Paul Guilfoyle, Ralph Waite and Paul Benedict were part of the company. Wheeler also taught directing and theatre at Harvard University, Boston University, and Brandeis University. David W. Wheeler (January 11, 1950 – March 9, 2022) was an American businessman and politician who served in the Alabama House of Representatives representing the 47th district, from 2018 until his death. He was a member of the Republican Party. Education and early career Wheeler was born in Jemison, Alabama. Wheeler received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Montevallo in 1972. He then attained an MBA from Samford University in 1976. He later served a lengthy period on the board of trustees for the University of Montevallo, starting in 2008.
