David Bruce Warner
David Bruce Warner (born 5 June 1971, in Bloemfontein) is a South African alpine skier. He is the only person ever to have represented South Africa at the Winter Paralympic Games, and he is one of only two Africans (along with Ugandan Tofiri Kibuuka) to have competed at the Games to date. Warner lost a leg in a car crash in 1988. Having previously intended to make a career in hockey, he subsequently embarked on a career in skiing. In addition to the Paralympic Games, he has competed in events such as the Disabled World Championships. He is an electrical engineer by profession. David Hattersley Warner (29 July 1941 – 24 July 2022) was an English actor who worked in film, television and theatre. He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art; after making his stage debut in 1962 he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), with whom he played Henry VI in ''The Wars of the Roses'' cycle at the West End's Aldwych Theatre in 1964. The RSC then cast him as Prince Hamlet in Peter Hall's 1965 production of ''Hamlet''. He attained prominence on screen in 1966 through his lead performance in the Karel Reisz film '' Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment'', for which he was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role. David William Warner (born November 18, 1941) is a former politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a New Democratic Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario on three occasions (spanning four terms) between 1975 and 1995, and served as Speaker of the Assembly during Bob Rae's administration. Background Warner worked as a teacher and served as chair of Elementary Public Schools in Scarborough. His daughter Barbara Warner ran for the Ontario NDP in the 2003 provincial election, in the riding of Scarborough Southwest. She contested nominations within the Ontario NDP, in the riding of Toronto-Danforth, and within the federal NDP, in her home riding of Beaches-East York. David Robert Warner (born 1953) is an Australian rock musician, author and screenwriter. He lives in Sydney with his wife and three children. Biography Dave Warner was born David Robert Warner in Bicton, Western Australia in 1953. He attended Aquinas College and then the University of Western Australia where he graduated with a B.A. (Hons.), majoring in psychology. Musical works In 1973, he formed the band Pus, which was influenced by radical 1960s New York activist band, The Fugs. Warner describes this band on his website as "Australia's first punk band". The term had been used in the 1960s, referring to "Garage Bands". The genre that became known as punk was not to emerge as an identifiable musical entity until the mid-1970s, and although Warner might have pre-empted punk "attitude" with Pus, musically it is unlikely from a very few witness accounts of this obscure outfit that the band's material could be categorised thus . Synergy Strike Force
Synergy Strike Force was the self-chosen informal name of a group of individuals who applied crowd-sourcing, crowdsourcing techniques towards aid work in Afghanistan. Dave Warner (neuroscientist), Dave Warner, an MD, neuroscientist and U.S. Army, Army veteran, is credited with leading the group and finding funding for it, primarily sourced from DARPA. In a profile by Brian Calvert for ''Pacific Standard'' magazine, Warner described why the group's headquarters was outside the military security perimeter and field trips were made with a light security presence. Warner leased the Taj Mahal guesthouse in Jalalabad and supplied it with a rare high-speed internet connection.
