David W. Allen
David W. Allen (October 22, 1944 – August 16, 1999) was an American film and television stop motion model (puppet) animator. Allen provided special effects on such productions as ''The Howling'', '' Twilight Zone: The Movie'', ''Young Sherlock Holmes'' (for which he earned an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects nomination), ''Willow'' and ''Honey, I Shrunk the Kids''. He also had a long association with producer Charles Band, working on such films as ''Dolls'', '' Puppet Master'', '' Bride of Re-Animator'', '' Subspecies'' and ''Demonic Toys''. Career Some of Allen's earliest animation work can be seen in the 1970 16mm student film ''Equinox'', which was expanded from a short film to a feature-length film by Jack H. ''Subspecies'' is a Romanian-American direct-to-video vampire horror film series produced by Full Moon Studios and Castel Film Studios. The series ran from 1991 to 1998, and followed the exploits of the undead Radu Vladislas, portrayed by Anders Hove, and his efforts to turn Michelle Morgan ( Denice Duff) into his fledgling. A spin-off film, ''Vampire Journals'', was released in 1997, which featured characters that would go on to appear in the final installment. Ted Nicolaou wrote and directed all five films, including the spin-off. The series was shot on location in Romania, utilizing stop-motion and rod puppet techniques to achieve the look the director wanted for the titular creatures. Grauman's Chinese Theatre (branded as TCL Chinese Theatre for naming rights reasons) is a movie palace on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6925 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, United States. The original Chinese Theatre was commissioned following the success of the nearby Grauman's Egyptian Theatre, which opened in 1922. Both are in Exotic Revival style architecture. Ray Harryhausen
Raymond Frederick Harryhausen (June 29, 1920 – May 7, 2013) was an American-British animator and special effects creator who created a form of stop motion model animation known as "Dynamation". His works include the animation for '' Mighty Joe Young'' (1949) with his mentor Willis H. O'Brien (for which the latter won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects); his first color film, ''The 7th Voyage of Sinbad'' (1958); and '' Jason and the Argonauts'' (1963), which featured a sword fight with seven skeleton warriors. His last film was '' Clash of the Titans'' (1981), after which he retired. In 1960, Harryhausen moved to the United Kingdom and became a dual American-British citizen. ''Laserblast'' is a 1978 American science fiction film about an unhappy teenage loner who discovers an alien laser cannon and goes on a murderous rampage, seeking revenge against those who he feels have wronged him. ''The Crater Lake Monster'' is a 1977 B-movie horror film directed by William R. Stromberg for Crown International Pictures, and starring Richard Cardella. James Danforth (born July 13, 1940) is an American stop-motion animator, known for model-animation, matte painting, and for his work on ''When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth'' (1970), a theme-sequel to Ray Harryhausen's ''One Million Years B.C.'' (1967). He later went on to work with Ray Harryhausen on the film '' Clash of the Titans'' (1981) to mainly do the animation of the winged horse Pegasus.
