David Tukiçi
David Tukiçi (born 1956, Shkodër, Albania) is an Albanian composer and singer. He also holds Italian citizenship. At 13, he won the 1969 edition of the Festivali i Këngës në RTSH as a singer and then pursued composition training notably with Çesk Zadeja, who was himself a pupil of Dmitri Shostakovich. From 1982 to 1992, he was the director of Radio Televizioni Shqiptar's symphonic music. At the École normale de musique – Alfred Cortot de Paris, he studied with Michel Merlet and Dominique Rouits. He is the author of many symphonic compositions, both instrumental and vocal. Many of his pieces have been recorded. Notable among these is ''Horcynus Orca'', a double concerto for flute, cello and string orchestra, composed in 2001 at the Politeama Siracusa and recorded in 2003, under his direction, by the Symphonic Orchestra of Calabria, featuring soloists Sonia Formenti and Francesco Mariozzi. Shkodër
Shkodër ( , ; sq-definite, Shkodra) is the fifth-most-populous city of the Republic of Albania and the seat of Shkodër County and Shkodër Municipality. The city sprawls across the Plain of Mbishkodra between the southern part of Lake Shkodër and the foothills of the Albanian Alps on the banks of Buna, Drin and Kir. Ibrahim Tukiqi
Ibrahim Tukiçi (1926–2004), was an Albanian singer.He was born in Shkodër, Albania. He studied for canto in the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and graduated in 1957. After finishing the studies in 1957 he got a job at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania. He interpreted in many classical operas such as ''Cavalleria rusticana'', ''Madama Butterfly'', and ''Rigoletto''. Marcel Mule (24 June 1901 – 18 December 2001) was a French classical saxophonist. He was known worldwide as one of the great classical saxophonists, and many pieces were written for him, premiered by him, and arranged by him. Many of these pieces have become staples in the classical saxophone repertoire. He is considered to be the founder of the French Saxophone School and the most representative saxophone soloist of his time, being a fundamental figure in the development of the instrument. Early life Marcel Mule was born in a village in Aube, France, to a father who learned the saxophone while doing his military service and became director of the brass band of Beaumont-le-Roger. In a time when Paris lacked saxophone teachers, having contact with brass bands was the only way to learn to play the saxophone. Antoine-Joseph "Adolphe" Sax (; 6 November 1814 – 4 February 1894) was a Belgian inventor and musician who invented the saxophone in the early 1840s, patenting it in 1846. He also invented the saxotromba, saxhorn and saxtuba. He played the flute and clarinet. Early life Antoine-Joseph Sax was born on 6 November 1814 in Dinant, in what is now Belgium, to Charles-Joseph Sax and his wife Marie-Joseph (Masson). While his given name was Antoine-Joseph, he was referred to as Adolphe from childhood. His father and mother were instrument designers themselves, who made several changes to the design of the French horn.
