David Stewart (footballer, Born 1947)
David Steel Stewart (born Glasgow, 11 March 1947 – 13 November 2018) was a Scottish footballer, who played as a goalkeeper. After winning the Scottish Junior Cup with Kilsyth Rangers he was signed by Ally MacLeod's Ayr United for whom he played in two senior cup semi-finals. He then signed for Don Revie at Leeds United where he played when Leeds lost 2–0 to Bayern Munich in the 1975 European Cup Final. He signed for Ron Atkinson at West Bromwich Albion but didn't play for their first team. He then won promotion to the top flight of English football in his first season at John Toshack's Swansea City. Stewart saved a penalty in his one appearance for the Scotland national football team, a 1–0 defeat in East Germany in 1977. John Toshack
John Benjamin Toshack (born 22 March 1949) is a Welsh former professional football player and manager. He began his playing career as a teenager with his hometown club Cardiff City, becoming the youngest player to make an appearance for the side when he made his debut in 1965. After establishing himself in the first-team, he went on to make over 200 appearances and scored 100 goals in all competitions after forming a striking partnership with Brian Clark. In 1970, he joined First Division side Liverpool, where he formed a noted forward partnership with Kevin Keegan and Steve Heighway that helped the club to win two league titles, the European Cup, the UEFA Cup on two occasions, the FA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup. His partnership with Keegan was so effective that the two were described as telepathic. The Scottish Football League (SFL) was a league featuring professional and semi-professional football clubs mostly from Scotland.One club, Berwick Rangers, is based in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, which is located approximately 4 km south of the Anglo-Scottish border. Motherwell ( sco, Mitherwall, gd, Tobar na Màthar) is a town and former burgh in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, south east of Glasgow. It has a population of around 32,120. Alexander David Ingram (2 January 1945 – 3 February 2022) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a forward. John Doyle (11 May 1951 – 19 October 1981) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a winger for Ayr United, Celtic and the Scotland national team. Dick Malone
Richard Philip Malone (born 22 August 1947) is a Scottish former professional footballer. A defender, he appeared for Sunderland in the 1973 FA Cup Final winning team. After playing for junior side Shotts Bon Accord, Malone started his senior career with Ayr United, for whom he had played 163 league matches and scored twenty goals. He was the only full back at that time to score a hat trick. Malone joined Sunderland in October 1970 and was a Scotland under-23 international (match against France). In the FA Cup Final victory, Second Division Sunderland beat Leeds United 1-0. Malone played 235 (+1) league matches for Sunderland, scoring two goals. Malone left Sunderland to join Hartlepool United in July 1977. Patrick "Pat" McMahon (born 19 September 1945) is a Scottish former footballer who is best known for the time he spent with Aston Villa and Celtic.http://www.croyhistorical.org.uk/football Kilsyth Rangers McMahon began his football career at local Scottish team Kilsyth Rangers. He moved to London, working for the GPO.
