Dennis Feickert (born June 19, 1948) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the South Dakota House of Representatives representing District 1 since January 11, 2013. Fieckert served consecutively from January 2009 until January 11, 2013 in the District 3 seat. Fieckert was a county commissioner for Brown County from 1987 until 2009. Bristol is a city located in western Day County, South Dakota, United States. It lies in Section 25 of Bristol Township, on the main line of what is now the BNSF Railway alongside U.S. Route 12. The population was 288 at the 2020 census.` Similar to many towns of the area and of the Midwest in general, Bristol came into being as a result of railroad expansion. The railroad, which first came through the area in the 1870s, identified the site which would become Bristol as Station #70. C.P. Northern State University (NSU) is a public university in Aberdeen, South Dakota. NSU is governed by the South Dakota Board of Regents and offers 45 bachelor's degrees, 53 minors, six associate degrees, 16 pre-professional programs, 23 certificates and 10 graduate degrees.
