David Sheiner
David S. Sheiner (born January 13, 1928) is an American actor. He appeared on Broadway, but is best known for his supporting roles in several films and television series. He started his career in television in 1952, but he was most successful from the 1960s through the 1980s. Film and television roles Sheiner appeared in several films including ''The Greatest Story Ever Told'' (1965) as James the Elder, ''They Call Me Mister Tibbs!'' (1970) and ''Blue Thunder'' (1983). He is probably best known for his supporting role as Roy, Oscar's accountant and poker playing crony opposite Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau in the film adaptation of ''The Odd Couple'' (1968). Sheiner also featured prominently in the 1973 Michael Winner/Charles Bronson action movie "The Stone Killer". Sheiner also guest-starred in many television programs. ''Cannon'' is an American detective television series produced by Quinn Martin that aired from 1971 to 1976 on CBS. William Conrad played the title character, private detective Frank Cannon. The series was the first Quinn Martin production to run on a network other than ABC. ''Iron Horse'' is an American Western television series that appeared on ABC from 1966 to 1968 and starred Dale Robertson as fictional gambler-turned-railroad baron Ben Calhoun. Costars included Gary Collins, Robert Random and Ellen Burstyn (who was billed as Ellen McRae). The series pilot was released as the film ''Scalplock''. Synopsis The plot centered on Calhoun's poker game-win of the incomplete Buffalo Pass, Scalplock, & Defiance Railroad and his attempts to finish the line despite ever-present obstacles. ''One Spy Too Many'' starring Robert Vaughn and David McCallum is the 1966 feature-length film version of ''The Man from U.N.C.L.E.''s two-part season two premiere " Alexander the Greater Affair". It is the third such feature film that used as its basis a reedited version of one or more episodes from the series. In this instance, the film took the two-part episode and added in a subplot featuring Yvonne Craig as an U.N.C.L.E. operative carrying on a flirtatious relationship with Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn); Craig does not appear in the television episodes. Both episodes were written by Dean Hargrove and directed by Joseph Sargent. It also added in and substituted scenes that, while not out of place in a 1960s U.S. spy film, were more explicitly sexual than generally shown on U.S. television at the time. ''The Fugitive'' is an American crime drama television series created by Roy Huggins and produced by QM Productions and United Artists Television. It aired on ABC from September 1963 to August 1967.
