Dave Ryan (Australian Footballer)
David James Ryan (23 January 1885 – 13 February 1957) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Geelong and Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Originally from Yarrawonga, Ryan arrived at Collingwood in 1907 after failing to make an impact in his season with Geelong. He participated in the finals at his new club in each of his first five seasons and was a ruckman in the 1910 premiership team. He also played in Collingwood's losing Grand Final the following season, again as a follower. Dave Ryan is an Irish professional rugby union player, currently playing for SU Agen in the French Top 14. Ryan plays as a prop. He previously played for Dolphin, Munster, Zebre and Lazio. Ryan played for Munster between 2009 and 2010 after being promoted from a development contract. It was announced in Spring 2011 that Ryan was leaving Munster to join Lazio Roma in Italy. David Ryan (footballer)
David Peter Ryan (born 5 January 1957) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He played in the English Football League for Port Vale in 1976, on loan from Manchester United. He later played non-League football for Southport, Northwich Victoria, Hyde United and Chorley. Playing career Ryan started his career with Manchester United. Whilst with the "Red Devils" he was sent on loan to Port Vale in January 1976, as cover for John Connaughton. He made his debut in a 2–1 defeat by Swindon Town at the County Ground on 17 January, but returned to Old Trafford later that month. Ryan was never handed his competitive debut by Tommy Docherty and later left United to play for Southport and Northwich Victoria. He made one Northern Premier League Premier Division appearance for Hyde United on 28 March 1990, in a 4–2 victory over Shepshed Charterhouse at Ewen Fields. He later played for Chorley. Dave Ryan (born June 20, 1967) is a play-by-play announcer and reporter for CBS, who has worked a wide variety of sports programming including NFL, college basketball, lacrosse, bowling, baseball and hockey. Education Ryan graduated from Syracuse University's S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism in 1989. He got his start in broadcasting at UUTV, now called CitrusTV, the student-run TV studio at Syracuse University. Dave Ryan (politician)
David Ryan (born c. 1946) is a Canadian politician. He was the mayor of Pickering, Ontario from 2003 to 2022, and was the longest serving mayor of the city. As mayor, he also sits on Durham Regional Council. Career Ryan moved to Pickering in 1985. He worked in general business and management at IBM for 33 years before retiring to run for mayor of Pickering in 2003. Ryan was elected to Pickering City Council for the first time in 1994. Ryan ran for the Ontario Liberal Party in the riding of Pickering—Ajax—Uxbridge in the 1999 Ontario general election, but lost to Progressive Conservative Janet Ecker by nearly 12,000 votes. After mayor Wayne Arthurs retired in 2003, Ryan ran against regional councillor Doug Dickerson for mayor of the city. Pickering (2021 population 99,186) is a city located in Southern Ontario, Canada, immediately east of Toronto in Durham Region. Dave Ryan (born 12 May 1954 in New Zealand) is the former sporting director of the McLaren Formula One team and former racing director of the Manor Formula One team. He spent 35 years with McLaren until he left in April 2009 and set up VonRyan Racing to compete in GT racing. Career A former speedway racer, Ryan left New Zealand for the UK in his late teens and joined McLaren as a mechanic. He worked on the McLaren M23 of Jochen Mass and with James Hunt when he won the World Championship in 1976. After nearly a decade as a mechanic, Ryan was appointed to the role of Chief Mechanic for the team, before taking over the role of factory team manager. Dave "Chico" Ryan
David "Chico" Ryan (born David-Allen Ryan; April 9, 1948 – July 26, 1998), also called Chico Bo-Wico, was an American bass guitarist and singer. He was a member of The Happenings and Sha Na Na. Career Ryan was born in Arlington, Massachusetts. He attended Boston University and graduated from Emerson College in 1969. While in college, he performed with the Rockin’ Ramrods, a Boston-area group that once released an album under the name Puff and once toured with the Rolling Stones. He was in the 1960s band The Happenings, which had hits with "See You in September" and "I Got Rhythm". Following his departure from that band, Ryan became better known when he joined the musical group Sha Na Na in 1973, on bass and vocals. He appeared with the group on the television show ''Sha Na Na'', which aired from 1977 to 1981, and in the movie '' Grease'', in 1978.
